3rd and last switch today. I just changed strap setup on my white diver. Now it is a true summer watch. 30C degrees here where I live so it was the right time to do it.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

@Fig1 tnx for sharing the photos. I received in the meantime my 3rd Excalibur which has the similar leather strap however I like more a rubber one than this faux (or at least cheap) leather straps. I'll have to see a bit what the strapmakers can make for me (sending the replica strap out to somebody for a reproduction). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Maybe I didn't express myself correctly, even they do work I don't understand their functional meaning (subdials) and the dial overall is too busy (date, two subdials at 3-9, faux tourbillon cage at 6). This is why I prefer the simple, clean dials. There is one excellent rep of the RD being sold on another rep forum (what dealers advertise as 1:1, been considering it but being a chrono I still hesitate to pull the trigger). I am looking forward to see how the custom strap will turn out to be, hopefully the maker has some knowledge about RD straps since they have to be arched properly in order to "follow" the line of the case/lugs..the best would be to provide the strapmaker with the rep strap and then he can replicate it.. Tnx for the update. That's a too busy dial for me and having the fake subdials, non functioning side pushers it is not a model for me. Pity there are no super reps of simple models of Ex. I still have one more on the way to me which is by far the best one in terms of simplicity as far as I can see and that I've find among the available reps. For the strap change look for the springbar tool and buy one since it will make your life easier for the change of straps. Since the springbars can easilly brake (depending on the quality) buy yourself a couple of sets of replacement springbar screws in order to have the replacement in case one breaks.. One Q, did you buy a custom made leather strap? Do you have a picture? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Can you post a photo? I am very interested in the model that you have (I have 5 of them atm) There are springbars which keep the strap in place at the lugs. You should be able to pull the springbar easilly on one of the sides and then the strap will be easilly taken down. 2/5 that I own.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It's always nice to re-read about the history of rep forums. I was back then present on the forum(s) but not linked to any "team"/"group". I followed everything what was actually happening. Today I found myself more of a lurker than a member mostly due to my limited time available for the hobby. Felt good always on all boards, even on repgeek where I got banned by a frustrated mod for a fight with another member (who actully was not banned even though he used some harsh words in my direction). I was never a person making fuss, fights,..always tried to enjoy the hobby for what it is - love for watches! I am always glad to see things move around here with the prosperity to last for a long time. Thanks to the mod team achieveing this for quiet some time now (similar to RWI).. Hopefully in the future of the rep forums there will be less shock and the boards will keep doing their job - gather watch lovers from all over the world (rep and non rep related).. Cheers to the admin team! (btw, I still have my RWG ring as a memory of good old times) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If you like it, go for it. I have two of them and the movement is quiet reliable in mine (I belive that the issue of the running sec @12 was an issue years ago, not these days with the new movements).. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Looks like the OP posted some personal data of the member REPPIN. I see that it was removed from the admin team however when looking from tapatalk the posted picture still appears. See (you can remove it again, just wanted to post a proof that somehow it is still visible).. (edited by nanuq) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Is this an EL PAM029 case for a 2893-2 mvt? Help needed

Anybody? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I bought recently this case which was supposed to be an Eddie Lee case for the PAM029 ETA2893-2. Once I got it, I compared it to my PAM029 and it seems that there are some differences which makes me doubt that this is actually an EL PAM029 case able to host a ETA2893-2 movement (what was advertised by the seller) or maybe there was different batches of the case? Bezel numbers seem to be of different size and different thickness.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The case just came in. Custom made bronze case. I still have to get the movement (central seconds modded ETA6497-1) and dial (Tourby).. Strap will be as well a custom made bundle strap - think it will match well the pilot style watch. What do you guys think?

Hi guys! I've been reading on the internet about the new PAM590 which has been released this year. Topics on the different forums from paneristi to all other watch forums.. Some of the collectors think it is a good buy while the other think the opposite. There is no general consensus as it was for some models as for ex. PAM127.. I looove the look of the watch and I am probably end buying it however I tought to hear what do you think? Will it be a good investment for the future? A collector item? Classic piece? As for now it is only limited the north american market, from next year it will be available worldwide...was wondering if the 1st series could someday mean something or not? Share your toughts..

There are definitely some nice PAMs around from various dealers but what I like are the old school modded ones PRE-A and PRE-V, vintage.. However since there is no time for me to perform the mods I should have a look at the FS section
