  1. swdivad: You are a CLASSIC... ahahaha!! It was good fun last night.
  2. Never liked Big Bang BUT I wouldnt mind getting one for a test drive. If the price is enticing, I might just get two. I'm in for one at this moment.
  3. I like some of the ladies watches on there. Men's, on the other hand, has nothing I want.
  4. Damn bro. My heart always skipped a beat whenever I see this watch!
  5. Good old fashion way of trying to predict the future.... Panerai is a relatively 'new' brand and It is very hard to predict what is going to happen in the future as unexpected things can twist things around.... for the better or worse. The watch industry has proven to be quite unpredictable and the future of Panerai is as good as anyone's guess. At the moment, it seems that Panerai still remains exciting for some and for others, the hype is already over. Is Panerai just a hype or is it a brand that will stand the test of time? I guess we'll have to wait and see. At the meantime, I'll step aside and enjoy my watches.
  6. True. It is a modified Unitas 6498 movement, a 'cheap' movement one might say. I don't mind the movement - I just dislike the display back showing it. After giving much thoughts, I would still go ahead with purchase regardless. This watch is like no other imo. But is it worth it? I have found myself asking this less and less over time. Afterall, I have plunged a substantial amount into genuine watches with modified Unitas and 7750s movements without much questioning of 'Is it worth it?' statement. If Joshua were to rep this, I would still proceed with the genuine. I adore this watch too much to get a watch of a lesser standard - No offence given that this is a rep forum. That link is the one I enquired and I had to wait a week or two. I might just proceed with that if the Singapore AD does not have one in stock.
  7. Ever since I laid my eyes on the Sinn 6100 Regulator posted by one of our members here, this watch has been on my mind ever since. When I saw the price, I was pretty much convinced that I am going to get this piece. I am in the midst of getting this piece. I must say I have quite a difficult & frustrating time trying to acquire this watch. The Authorised Dealer in the US hasn't responded to my emails (well, thanksgiving) and I am running out of patience.... Another AD in Singapore has responded and has to check his stock..... driving me insane. A UK dealer has ran out of stock but 'will be able to get it in a week or two'... I am at all-fours on my ceiling at this moment. Well, I am just gonna post some pics I 'took' off the web and share with you guys. I hope in time, I will be able to take pictures of my very own 6100... that I can't bloody wait. This watch looks very elegant, looking at the pics, I could almost feel I skipped a beat. And the price? Can't beat that. This is one of the best looking regulators I have ever seen, beating IWC Port. Reg. (imo but the movemnt is to die for..) and Chronoswiss' and the rest of the gangbang. Plus this is a 44mm..... which is a big plus for me. Enjoy the pics.
  8. Trust me. I have been through hell and back and now that I am back, I am no better than before.
  9. My previous gen. 111 has been put through the abuse. I wear it to sleep, wear it while washing dishes and working on house chores, etc. These activities has def. contributed a fair amount of swirls on the watch - thank god no dings. Now, my gen. 112 has replaced the 111 and I still do the same stuff except that I do not wear it to sleep. I rotate my other gens as well..... you can say I use them as my daily beaters. My reps, on the other hand, are put through hell. I use them for physical activities whereby the probability of getting dings and scratches are much higher. Gym use, moving stuff, etc. Funny that my reps hardly suffered any dings- just minor scuffs and small surface scratches - nothing major surprisingly. I like to enjoy my watches so I tend to wear them as often as I can. For genuines, a conscious effort not to ding them is something I can't run away from but by wearing them as much as I can, I can safely say that I am putting my watches into good use and with much enjoyment and satisfaction. I am not the type for safe-queens (used to be) but once I got over it wearing on a daily basis, I find myself appreciating the watch like it should be in the first place.
  10. kruzer: Nah, I think I need to set myself straight. :lol I NEED to get out more.... Sometimes I scare myself typing these posts... brrrr..
  11. Kruzer, this bloke & his buddy were at their local AD when the manager pulled the 243 out of the safe and showed it to them. I saved the pics as well and two other pics which was not included featuring wrist shots - those wrist shots really get me going all @#$ about 243. As far as I know, none of the two blokes owns the 243 and this watch has been doing rounds at Panerai events and that's it. Saw one myself at the recent event over here in Melb. I called several ADs both local and abroad and all of them said that 243 wont be available to public till late Nov/ Dec.... and possibly even Jan 07.
  12. PAM243 is not out yet. Supposed to be released in Dec. Some speculate that it might be delayed to 07. *taps foot*
  13. Dave, you have sinned far too many times. No surprises there.. This watch has the looks. The clean lookin' dial makes this an awesome lookin' watch. Double AR, now that is a plus in my books...... Now should I get the regulator or should I pass? Decisions, decisions....
  14. Now.... let's see who gets this first... (Thank God, I did not take that plane to Paris.. HAHA)
  15. Right here buddy. Count me in. I might be doing some travelling up to Brisbane, Sydney and few places in betwn in Dec. I'll try and make it for sure as this will be my last year here in Australia.
  16. Funny that you mentioned that Warren. I almost traded my 187 away... and then I got a wicked strap that, somehow influenced me to put that idea on hold. And now, I count myself lucky having kept the watch 'cos I think this is a beautiful piece. 187, nothing like any other.
  17. Maikel, nice 5218-2 Dirk!! But the other Strap as Kostas has mentioned is not authentic. I would chase the fella's ass down and get a refund. Do let us know the outcome.
  18. Just came back from the Panerai event and had a feel on this watch. Very very nice. Not to the point that I would buy it but I can't say the same for swdivad. This bugger is smittened by this watch to bits. I remember hearing his words "I am gonna get this" about 5 times. Well, I am not that better off anyways... I was busy mumbling to myself how bad I want the 243 ... I was pestering one of the dealers to get the watch off the stand but luck is not on my side. Bugger. A very nice watch. If you do not like the GMT hand, u can hide it under the minute hand and voila, clean lookin' dial. I love the display back and the movement. I'm so gonna kick myself for not trying out winding the movement... ah well. I got to try a fiddy and I BLOODY LOVE IT.
  19. David, this is one hell of a kickass project. I am in awe looking at the pics. I am sharing the exact sentiments already mentioned on this thread. Enjoy this beautiful watch!!!
  20. I don't have to say anything more...
  21. With that money, I would go for AP ROO right away. Flipping that watch for that price ..... it does not even cost that much in the first place.
