  1. Apparently PAM232 has a dark tobacco dial which was hard to capture on pics.
  2. The bezel is incorrect in terms of dimension. The width of the bezel, supporting the markers, are not wide enough. If I can pick it up just by looking, it would probably look worse if I had it on my hand. No offense to Puretime or other dealers. Never denied the fact that we are extremely fortunate to have these reps. I was hoping for the accuracy of the 87 but clearly, this one is not up to par in my books. And from what I can see from other pictures, the thickness of the watch is not there as well. I could be wrong.
  3. Absolutely gorgeous. Wear it well!!
  4. This is easily one of my top 3 watches I hope to own. 201A is such a beauty, mesmerising, a true classic and the holy grail. Another very close to 201A (without the logo) would be Pre-2A. That is one MFBAWTIWTO. Some pics of mine:
  5. hehe!!! I am still in the honeymoon phase over this strap at the moment cos the buckle is such a badass!!
  6. All these talk are tempting! Now we need PICS!
  7. The Tan is digging into my skin too much for comfort. I might need to wear it down.
  8. That is a wicked collection Kruz, I am digging the watchmaster khaki strap as well as the PAV!
  9. Wicked!! I just received mine and strapped on the 24. Looks badass. And judging by the looks of it, it seems like a quality strap as well. Very soft and comfy.
  10. Kos, I will get to it eventually, I promise. Edit: Managed to snap some pics minutes ago and here is the XaMAS Brick. Softer and slightly thinner (4-3mm) than the XaMAS Tan (5mm). The brick strap has a shiny sheen to it and wears more comfortable than the Tan. I love the thickness of Tan and the comfort of the Brick. Whatever it is, this is one good looking strap. One setback is that it scratches (... & peels off) easily, leaving a nasty mark on it - for a strap of that calibre, it shouldnt be happerning. *shrugs*
  11. Any one gotten this watch yet? I am hungry for one..... but I am not allowed to spend anymore....
  12. My gens' lever are pressed very nicely (& tightly) on the crown. No problemo.
  13. I'm sh*tting my pants!!! Bloody awesome, the only beef is that the waffle dial is not deep enough. But who @#$%ing cares. This looks WONDERFUL!!

Damn. I enjoyed this. Is there a sequel?
  15. Thanks guys. I just put it up and will let go of this one if the price is right. I cant stand having watches sitting on my desk and not wearing them. Hopefully I wont regret this.
  16. Oops.. sorry... cant help it. Looks too enticing! WOAH. What a difference!!Gen. vs Rep. I mean, differences are subtle but then again, it is those subtle differences that makes a HUGE difference. You know what I mean? Okay, I dont know how to explain it better but damn. The gen. looks wicked!!
  17. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh... I need this.
  18. Well, this is thread is a mix of a showcase and a question which I have difficulty figuring it out myself at this moment. This watch is a 47mm GWI Big Pilot from Ken Trading (RXW fame) which I got pre-owned. I absolutely love this watch to bits but I am not showing any wrist time. Occasionally, I would put it on and walk around the house and that's it. Now the question that begged to be ask: Should I sell it? I am hesitating because I know it would be difficult for me to get it back if I ever regret letting this one go. But a part of me wants me to let go of this baby to a new owner who will would appreciate this watch more than I do. Initially, I took these pics because I had made up my mind to sell it. Looking at the pics, it seems like a very bad idea to sell this. I am sitting on the fence on this one. Decisions, decisions. !@#$ decisions!
  19. Is that the two gens that I see? The Chrono Avenger looks wicked. It appears the Ti finish looks more even on the gen. The dial seems to 'jump' out at you as well. Nice one! Wear them well.
  20. @ speedy1: I do not any concerns at this moment to do any re-touching. I doubt I will be doing any as I am very happy with how this watch turns out. Better than what I expected. The crooked dial markers at '10' and '8' dont bother me. If anything should bother me a great deal, it would be the date mag. So far no one is able to reproduce anything close to the gen so I have no complains there. Plus, this date mag is comparatively more visible than other PAMs that I have. This is quite a heavy watch, not as heavy as 187 but for a 44mm it is heavy. I love the height of this monster. All in all, this is a great buy and definitely one of the better reps. I wish they have the 64. Not too keen on the blue dial but under certain light, the dial changes from navy blue to dark blue - almost black in colour. The darker colour would be my preference. If they did an all-black fantasy dial, I am all for it. If the factory decides to do a 243, I would be more than happy (if they fix that date mag!!)
