  1. ^^^ so true. As I mentioned before, if I were you, I wouldnt do it. Last thing you want is get a record in a foreign country. Two or three watches max. If u do not want to part with them, get someone to ship over. I have never EVER had any watch confiscated by mail. Best of luck.
  2. Rotating between these three: Care for some amateur wrist shots?
  3. If the RG looks good on my wrist, I'm gonna betcha I'll be putting down money for the rest of the accurate versions. Damn, HBB is the new Panerai.....
  4. This [censored]'s got pop!
  5. Australian customs are really STRICT. One of the strictest customs I have ever come across. On the plane you have fill out declaration form and let me tell u, do not lie. Now, they check almost every baggage & hand carries. If you did not declare the items, u'll be slapped with a heavy fine (and if lucky, get to appear on TV 'Border Security' ) If I were u, I would ship to someone I know or get someone to ship it once I am in Australia. Just my opinion on this matter really. It is risk I know I would not take. And with reps, who knows what u might get. Not a good way to start a new life in Australia if u get caught. Your choice.
  6. Don't even start... I am going to as well....
  7. reelamore, you have a prized piece there. I am SOOO envious.
  8. I had an absolute blast at this Melb GTG. As swdivad mentioned, the gals were off to Chanel Party so we can be left alone with our watch gathering... Good one swdivad!! We arrived a little late and once we stepped into Fidels, I spotted Ken & Mike and we wasted no time in taking out our watches on the table. I would like to express my thanks Kenberg for the Tiffany present and the cap. Mucho gracias! Mikephotog was kind enough to show us the poster photo he did with ken's car and it looks awesome! Well done!! The night went on excellent, discussing about watches, straps, cameras, the ongoings in the RWG forum, etc.... We did take a few photos but the fun was dampened by the waitress who mistook our gathering as a watch business sales gathering. Well, she couldn't quite understand what was going on but I managed to steal a few shots before we get chased out. About an hour or so into the gathering, there was this group of people who showed interest in our timepieces and started enquiring about certain watches we had on the table. Anyhow, there is this one bloke (who acted like a spolit brat btw; worse than my 6 year old cousin), with his eagle eyes, spotted my newly acquired Sinn Regulator 6100 and wanted to 'buy it on the spot'. Like a leech on my back, he kept pushing my buttons by openly blaring out, 'I want this watch, tell me the price. I'll go to the machine and give u the cash. I want this watch RIGHT NOW. C'mon, how much?... blah blah blah' I can't remember how many times he said that (must be about 3896986969697708080 times as I can still hear when I lay myself on the bed last night ) Anyhow, I told him the watch wasnt for sale and he retorted back (about 543476587697 times) with 'Are u sure? Are u sure? I can get the cash for you RIGHT NOW. No box. Just the watch.' Oh well. Nevertheless, tt was an AWESOME night out. It was great finally meeting Kenberg and Mike. Alas, I wont be around for the next GTG but we will still be keeping in touch. If I were to drop by Melb in the future, I hope to hook a GTG up again. And swdivad, gonna miss ya buddy!!! We'll meet again in Thailand, Singapore. Without further ado, here are the pics:- This is what you see on the table.... Ohhhh... I lub the 239!!!!!!! Another closer shot... I can't seem to take it off. This watch is strapped with an OEM Diver yellow/ black coramid strap Kenberg's stash! A few attempts of the table shot Ken's PAM192! Yuummmmay! Can't resist... few more shots of 239. Kenberg's 3646!! Sorry for getting the pics up so late. RWG was down for quite a while there.....
  9. My biggest disappointment would be Breitling Chrono Avenger. Looks great in pics but when I got it, I can't seemed to maintain that special connection so off it went..... in azjgav's hands. However, I did have an appeal for Breitling Seawolf but in SS instead of Ti. A fantasy but a watch I love wearing. No disappointment there. swdivad & V: Never had a thing for 1950 but lately, I have caught the fiddy bug and has since put a little gamble by ordering from EL, the best fiddy, Davidsen's hands & canon fix & sapphire AR crystal. Will be sending to The Zigmeister for mods & relume. Tell me I am making a big mistake To top it off, I just placed an order of an expensive strap as well..... Maybe I'll update my biggest disappointment if this turned out to be !@#$%
  10. Perfect Reps.. tell me where to get one. I want one.
  11. Happy birthday Admin! Hope u had a good one! You have been awfully helpful to me with regards to my quest for an AP. Thanks for that!! Cheers my friend.
  12. For sure! My gal is big fan of All-black and for me, the ceramic bezel. That makes us happy people. EDIT: The ASF looks badass. I would like to see the back. Thanks Angus.
  13. Almost always buy it new, personally. All my gen watches have been purchased BNIB. I am paranoid about buying used watches. Who knows if they have been tampered with, parts swapped, watch dropped, etc. There are a few reputable sellers on P.com who sells BNIB and I have purchased a few BNIB watches with prices well under MRSP. All transactions I have made, I am more than happy about. PM me and I'll recommend one particular seller I have bought from who has good selections of watches and prices if u catch him in the right time. This particular seller (a HUGE watch collector - collects & sells Richard Mille, APs, Panerais, etc) seemed to have have good deals for BNIB at times (if u catch him in the right moment), his prices sometimes dips well below the MRSP by almost $1k -$1.5K for some particular Panerai watches. He is a highly regarded trusted seller whom I have 2 transactions with and has even met up with his brother for a face-to-face transaction. A truely standup guy and a crazy collector. The only time I would buy a used genuine watch is when I intend to mod the gen, otherwise, I would always go that little extra mile to buy it brand new. Oh another time would be if the watch is no longer in production or hard-to-find models and the only way to attain the watch is to get it used. I think the key is to take time and research and never ever (at least try not to) rush a purchase. If u were to buy from the internet - Always buy from a trusted seller - Research, research and research (reference, reference & reference). Or else simply head over to local AD and drop the cash - which (no brainer) is the most secure way of getting a genuine.
  14. Thanks for the pics Kos. I am anticipating this watch BIG TIME.
  15. Too true. On another point, I can't be bothered telling every Tom, [censored] & Harry that my watch is a rep unless they inquire more about the watch. I am not one who likes telling much about my watches (reps and gens) unless they show genuine interest in knowing more. I also don't fancy sounding off 'alarms' in any way suggesting that I have sources to reps. Or in any way try to present myself in a way where I am "mocking" those who own a genuine piece of the rep. Afterall, being around pple in hospitals, owning gens are pretty much common and the last thing I wish do, is to be marked as someone who "support terrorism" as many misinformed pple would like to think. In addition, I would probably get into trouble if they knew I was to own a rep. These reps are for myself not to pass off any genuine to anyone else (if I were to even TRY and pass off as a gen, I would very much rather get the real deal than make a mockery out of myself).... Most of my reps are my beaters anyways and if I do like this BB, it would follow the ranks of my other beloved reps. I would not have even thought of buying a BB but seeing how close the rep is, I dont mind buying it to give it a try. IF I really do LOVE it, hey, who knows I might go for a gen. I honestly can't wait to get this piece esp. with the anticipation surrounding this piece. I might just get the SS version as well if I like the RG. Can't bloody wait.
  16. Pre-ordered the RG version, I'll take this one as well.
  17. If I were to choose 1950 (PAM127) & PAM203, I would go for the 203. IMO, the 203 is the one and only classic (for now... ). Too bad, the limited production and outrageous secondary market prices are a major turnoff. To be clear, I am not one of the sour potential buyers who are [censored] with the handling and distribution of the 203. Although it is considered a classic in my books, I doubt I would fork out that much to make a purchase for one. And no, I wouldnt even buy it just to flip the watch.
  18. Welcome RollyPolly, Lived in the GTA for a good 6 years before moving down under (Melb) and now planning my next move back home (Singapore). (God I miss Canada!!! ) Glad u found this site. Great looking watches and brilliant mods u have there! Hope to see u more often on here. All the best.
  19. Different strokes for different folks on this one. I, for one, am one of the substantial few, thinks that this watch looks great but I wouldnt go as far as to purchase a genuine... at least not now. Granted that they have an in-house p2002 movement on this one, I still would not fork out the cash to get one myself. However, if they were to have the movement on a base, I might just consider it. Personally, I would go with "less" features and thinks that "less" is better when it comes to Panerai. However, for those are strong opiniated about thinking this watch is ugly, I suggest if given the opportunity, give this watch a go in person. This watch needs to be seen in person to be appreciated. The dial looks cluttered on pics, and with the "fangs" (linear power reserve), I initially thought, like many of you, that this has to be the poorest design ever when I first saw it in pics. My opinion changed when I got it in my hands in person. That is a gutsy comment right here. There are a bunch of die-hard paneristis who are adamant about the Panerai watches produced after Richmont took over the Vendome group and are deeply rooted purely to Pre-Vs Panerai watches. They love Panerai but do not like the direction it has taken over the years. Well, u can't please everyone.
