  1. He had to have screwed them up, the new rollie is over 1700 clams
  2. http://www.puretimewatch.com/index.php?productID=506 Only $1780 for an asian ETA clone, if you want a gen ETA it will be 800 more! A steal! Hey Angus.... Whisky Tango Foxtrot
  3. I am so much of a watch geek that I get a watch magazine mailed to me. It is actually often quite boring and oftentimes has amusing errors in the text, my favorite being the following... "Everyone knows that the Omega Seamaster was the first watch on the moon." Anyway I was reading the magazine today and saw an insane Blancpain priced at over 1.5 Million bucks. It is white gold and has I think a total weight of 58 carat in diamonds. You can see it at the following... hxxp://www.blancpain.ch/e/collections/specialites/all/tourbillon/white_gold_set/2926_5222_92s Ref. 2926-5222-92S SP
  4. I saw a girl similar to that last photo at a strip club in Vegas last year, it scared the [censored] out of me. Later I was drunk and commented quite loudly about what kind of sick bastard would want a lap dance from that only to look over and see her grinding her goods on a guy two chairs down. I got the hell out post haste.
  5. It could just be the photos but the CF look on the rep is poor. Also, it appears that the ORIS text on the rep dial is too far above the horizontal line that seperates it from the text below in comparison to the gen photo.
  6. The Skyland, nice rep but too damn big!
  7. It is here, I just have to de-suckify my photo skills. I have been practicing on my For Sale posts, my photos are not yet up to par for what the watch deserves.
  8. If a 1:1 Monaco came out I would be super [censored] since I just ponied up for the gen.
  9. To me it feels quite a bit smaller than the Skyland. The Skyland was extremely uncomfortable to me, waaayyy too thick. The SMP is thicker than your average chrono but it still feels "wearable" to me, the Skyland did not.
  10. I hope the bracelet on this one is better than the last version. It was too sharp on the back side.
  11. What about RockNRolla, it is out over there and won't be out for another month and some change here.
  12. I have posted my feelings on the PO, Shundi and I are in the same boat. But as ugly as this is, it is nowhere near Hublot ugly.
  13. I just got back from the theater, went to see Righteous Kill with DeNiro and Pacino. In the movie DeNiro is sporting an Omega Speedmaster and Pacino is wearing a Tutima chronograph. The movie also had 50 Cent in it and I am not 100 percent sure but I think he had a Breitling for Bentley chrono on. There is a nice close up shot of the Tutima, DeNiro's is tougher to spot. I apologize for all of you who went to the theater this weekend with the Mrs. and had to sit through The Women.
  14. There is a reason that this prototype never went into production! As an aside however, if this really were a prototype for Panerai and they did not ever produce any, would it really be available for sale? I assume that Panerai would still own the rights to it, prototype or not. I call B.S. as mentioned above, but I don't think they should waste their time making a rep of it. They need all the reverse engineering rep makers working on something better.
  15. Great, but nobody touch the rwg server switch.
  16. Bill Clinton is known for wearing a Panerai, but I don't know if he was known to be wearing it while getting a [censored].
  17. I did compare. A popular brand may take a dump next week, an unpopular brand may rise from the ashes to take the place of it. They are all watches and open to comparison. Hublot used to be nothing, now they are red hot, but cooling. LVMH bought them out, LVMH also owns Tag Heuer. Rolex used to be thought of as a tool watch, look at them now. IWC started out as an inexpensive brand, not the luxury brand it is today. All are watches, all are open for comparison. I don't hold any brand in high regard just because of the branding of it.
  18. I don't see why name calling is in order. You posted this thread, as such you should expect to receive everyone's opinion on all aspects of what when down. I am sorry that we did not turn the entire thread into a Dani pity party as that appears to be what you were after. Live and learn then grow a pair and move on, if you don't want our thoughts, DONT POST!
  19. Did anyone consider that the value of this could be in legitimate free fall because J.P. is now in Nascar? Not to be too judgmental, but F1 types are not Nascar fans. And not too many Nascar fans shop at Chanel or Hugo Boss, if you get my drift. Same reason Tag Heuer's Jeff Gordon watches are cheap as dirt on the secondhand market.
  20. I don't mean to gripe, but I don't see the point in this post. Can you imagine if everyone on this forum posted articles like this about how sick we are because 20 or 30 years ago we could have bought Daytona's for a few hundred bucks?
  21. If it went for $20k and not $40k then it is really only worth 20k, despite what the appraised market value of it is. Something is only worth what someone will pay! That is how it works, the next time they issue a second hand market value on it it might be 15k, since they know damn good and well they can't get the 40 they thought they would. Stop pissing an moaning about it! Imagine if you bought at 20 and THEN found out there is no market for it. Added: Same as shundi says, except I am long winded and he probably types faster.
  22. I hate to do this because I like them, but if I don't post it someone will. See attached new movie poster.
  23. Sarah Palin eats amazing and shits awesomeness. And I would like to put my dangling chad in her ballot box, if you get my drift.
  24. TeeJay's Kick Ass Art And [censored]! Because comic book type stuff is hot right now.
  25. I have seen a few posts in here about a Midwest gtg, but nothing ever gets planned. If you live in one of the states above (or others) and are interested in a GTG, please PM me your location and e-mail. Please put GTG or something about a get together in the PM subject so I can keep it apart from my other PMs and your location can be approximate, I don't need your street address but a zip code would be awesome so I can put it in Google maps. I want to see where most of you guys are to plan accordingly. I can't promise anything but I am at least going to make an organized attempt. Regards all, -F
