  1. Nice choice FxrAndy, I'm pleased my review is still of use. The accent on Tachymetre is missing on some older gens too so it's not too much of an issue. I'd freeze the 6 o'clock subdial and get the movement serviced and dial lumed and you've got a definite keeper. I only sold mine to help fund a gen - my all time favourite watch. Wear it well
  2. Hey, I got the same model for C'mas! My uPO and 7753 196 are twirling away in it as we speak
  3. Merry Christmas to you both and a Happy New Year. Thanks for everything you've done for the forum and the work on my watches! Cheers
  4. Hey Zigg, you'll be missed. Your work for me has been top quality. Your posts have been informative and enjoyable. Have a great holiday and hopefully you'll look in from time to time. Take care.
  5. SOSF I think, allthough a uPO would be good to see too.
  6. Well it looks in v good nick to me, correct .321 mvmt (the newer post 1968 Speedys have the .861), pre-moon case back, 633 HELs, 1171 bracelet, applied logo. Can't quite make out the ref no on the bridge, if you can cross-ref it on speedmaster-mission.net to ensure the mvmt matches the case back year (although it's impossible to be strictly accurate). .321 Speedmasters were worn on the moon, if the price is right then why not get a bit of real watch history. These and the pre-moon .861s are going to rocket (pun intended) in value.
  7. Bloody marvellous post! Outstanding devotion, time and effort taken to keep us informed. Echoing Pug - We are not worthy
  8. Fantastic TM, really appreciate the effort you've put in.
  9. I got mine from PT in the UK. I used the pins that came with the bracelet it was originally on and it's been fine for me, no 'pop offs' at all and it's now my gym/swim watch strap.
  10. Great review SportsterRider, nice shots and well thought through descriptions. I'm looking forward to mine arriving - my first Rolex rep.
  11. Lovely stuff, I think the 40mm suits you and what a movement in it!
  12. OMEGA 3570.50.00, soon to be joined by an older brother...
  13. My The Zigmeisterfied uPO is my gym/cycling/DIY beater. It now sits on the silicon strap and survives gym sesions, swimming, jacuzzi and steam rooms. I am definitely not an 'action man' (although I still have mine in the loft) in this company, my self defence stylee is the Blackadder School - run away bloody quickly..!
  14. Hi Stephana, which mag was it? Was it in English? The site you mentioned is excellent, as is Chuck Maddox's - google him. I've a future vintage Speedy project on the horizon...
  15. Great idea Hyster, I love the B&R on TZ since it changed.

    Modded PO

@Taiji, nice looking piece! @LordR, loking forward to the pics of your PO post Ziggification! Mine went to him for a service and lume. Can't keep it off my wrist, particularly since I got the silicon strap.
  17. I've not said anything in the previous FP posts before. He did work (luming etc) on 2 or 3 of my PAMs and I was very pleased with the end results. A friend I recommended had a bit more trouble than me but eventually got it sorted. I hope this gets resolved quickly for all concerned and that we can move on. My 2p.
  18. This is bloody brilliant, I look forward to the results!
  19. You're telling me, I can't begin to estimate how much that collection is worth! As I said I'm v v new to Rolex (been a committed Omega Speedy nut to date, with a few PAMS for the heavy metal look). I've just ordered the new 'super' SD from PT (first rep I've bought in about 6 months) - dipping toe v lightly into Rolex pond In fact I'm such a new 'un to Rolex I didn't even realise they started in London!
  20. Sorry doc' didn't know it was posted before but I'm very new to the Rolex world and by heck I've got a LONG way to go to get to your level of knowedge - amazing!
