  1. Actually The Zigmeister re-lumed my uPO. The original lume was OK and was the best 'out of the box' lume I've had on a rep. But the SL re-lume is in a different class entirely and well worth it IMHO.
  2. Currently on the bay 'The Horror, the horror...'
  3. The Mk XV is a beautifully understated watch and yours is a truly worthy hommage. Well done.
  4. 'The WIS with two brains', sounds like a film title...
  5. Aye me too, he works down our chip shop...
  6. A shameless re-post of my collection photies I've been into watches forever and reps for a few years - RWG I etc. I've bought and sold some and serviced/modded the ones I want as keepers. I think I've reached the point where my collection is complete, it'll take something awesome to add to it and the way things are going I think that won't happen. I've admired the gens of these for so long it made my mind up on which to collect. There are a couple of gens in there, can you spot them... (no cheating by looking at my sig ) All glow together
  7. Model: uPO Swiss ETA Size: 45mm Seller: PT Rain: Yes, no leaks or mist Shower: Don't wear watch in shower Pool/Ocean 3 meter/10 feet: not yet
  8. Welcome back and good choice the uPO is a belter of a watch.
  9. Thanks for the comments and compliments folks and thanks for your work The Zigmeister
  10. The 196 was one of the first watches that attracted me to PAMs and I bought a 7750 version (old case) as one of my first reps. However I knew I should have got a 7753 as I like to have watches with the correct movements wherever possible and so my first 196 went to a new home. Fast forward a few years and the itch for a 196 came on again strong. I noticed that one of the stalwart members (I'll not mention him unless he doesn't mind featuring) of this community had a 7753 196 in his collection. So as me Nana always said 'shy bairns get nowt' I sent a cheeky PM asking if he ever wanted to part with it to let me know. Following some busy PM conversations we agreed on a deal and it was mine! Next step off to the Zigg meister for some Lume action. Thanks again The Zigmeister for a flawless transaction and another top quality piece of work, you're a credit to this board. This lovely piece returned this week and I fitted some new shoes, a BOB XL black 24x24 croc with brushed Pre-V buckle. Here's some very rough and ready photies - apologies for their roughness as I don't have any editing software on this laptop (or much ability ), I'll upgrade them when I get a chance. Firstly the obligatory wrist shot: next: Lume: Amongst friends: All glow together: L-R Back Row 127 from EL, pin fix and lumed with DS hands, 183 from PT pin fix and lumed, the 196, 111 from Josh pin fix and lume L_R Front Row Gen Omega Speedy Pro, Sekonda (made in USSR my first 'proper wind up watch' I got for my 18th too many years ago), JleC Master Control, uPO from PT lumed
  11. Thanks folks, will get my minions onto it asap
  12. I came across it's website and it seems a pretty good publication, although I haven't seen it on sale in the usual UK outlets. Anyone read it? Opinions? Where can I get it in the UK? ta
  13. I was at an important meeting that required a suit therefore the PAM 183g on a Black Calf with Black Stitching DON 26x26(hmm just realised I don't have a photo of it...) then came home and needed to time some cooking therefore this:
  14. Quality over quantity every time for me. If I like a watch and I'm going to keep it I'll get it with the 'best' movement available and get it modded and/or serviced. I've got rid of those I wasn't going to keep. It'd take something exceptional to make me jump on a watch now.
  15. If I were you I'd wear it and get some enjoyment from it, you've waited long enough!!
  16. As soon as it's back with me I will no worries. Oh the expectation, the bitter sweet wait...
  17. Very impressive The Zigmeister as ever living up to his well deserved reputation, my 196 is with him currently. The 217 looks dead smart!
  18. I've got Eddie Lee's 'best' 127 - apparantly 1:1 case, WG plated swiss mvmt, AR coated sapphire. It wasn't cheap and I don't know if he still offers it but you could ask. After a pin fix, re-lume, service and wearing a Greg strap mine ain't for sale sorry, but good luck in your quest.
  19. LOL hmm wonder if it was from Josh, or Eddie or PT or TTK...
  20. My 7753 196 is with the Zigg meister at the moment, can't wait to receive it and put it on the new BOB strap I've got for it!
  21. Loved my rep Moon Watch so much I bought the gen, I aim to get a gen PAM at some point too.
  22. Last time I looked Cousins from the UK had the gen case back.
  23. Lovely watches! I've just acquired a 7753 196 and it'll be off to The Zigmeister soon!
