Wow...look at the canon pin...Relume I take it judging from the quality of that dial...movement looks spectacular and cg pin looks nice...to my noob eyes at least!
The two last posts are brilliant... you get a good seller with a reputation for quality and taking care of problems and you'll be fine! You might also consider purchasing from the for sale section of this board!
Interesting..I love the rep chrono and I had a very nice Ebel dress watch a few years back that was a great timekeeper and quite dependable...solid low-midrange brand.
Either noobmariner for a watch that'll fool 95% of the population or a BK-WM9 sub that'll fool 99% of people...both "out of the box" not taking into account mods...
Pretty good pictures btw...def. showed almost all the details of each watch!
I JUST noticed the "Moderators" designation in JTB"s profile...welcome! I only joined in 2007 so I didn't really get to meet JTB but from his recent posts and his reputation I have no doubt that the Admin team has, again, made the right decision!!! Welcome!
Congrats!
By-Tor's Omega review (the de facto Omega guide) explains some of the differences...

Yeah I mean I'm no movement expert but I saw some "holes" I thought should have had jewels in them...
I asked about it being gold because the only way that is worth 2500 is if it's solid gold...
Sniping the serious threads I like it.
I agree with Pugwash though...Rep phones may look nice but I'm not carrying those damn things in my pockets near my junk...Even if spidey's batman underwear form a protective cocoon.
Just keep in mind that you're going to want to service this watch... ten years with no service- as everyone who knows movements has stated: service should be done every 4-6 years or so to keep things running smoothly... If anyone wants, I know a guy in PA who will do a service on one of these (good work) for around $130-140 but just keep in mind that's an expense in addition to the price. If you send it to Omega for a bracelet refinishing and movement service you're looking at around $400 all in...
For that price I'd say pick up a gen Omega or used Rolex... I'm not a big design fan but if you like their designs I say go for it... Read up on some more detailed reviews and try to locate other owners on TZ/ WUS so you know that you're not buying a no-name from "phantom" reviewers
