Interesting...so you can still set the time and stuff if the cannon pin gear has no friction? Is setting the time controlled by a separate lever or gearing system or does it "catch" when you're setting from the crown? Pardon my ignorance but movements fascinate me...

On my iPhone just a quick post: my local watchmaker put the watch on his fancy new timer today and reported the avg. amplitude as being 288 with an average error of +1 second per day across all positions. His parting comment was "I wish all my watches kept time like that!" * Whoops just realized I reported the amplitude wrong , fix'd
Wow! What a change! I agree...if you look at the review I posted to day there's a marked difference in photos where I used diffuse natural light (it was a cloudy day) and indoor lighting.
