  1. Hmm... I assume gen ETA wheels would work on these....do we have a source for a swap? I assume someone like The Zigmeister, Freddy, etc who does repairs may potentially have a source?
  2. Damn...those look fantastic! Hope to see that calibre of photography in some upcoming wrist shots!!!
  3. Have you tried an AD? What are the prices like?
  4. I really like this watch... I'll have to wait for an expert review before I pull the trigger...or maybe I'll just do it! Anyone notice flaws to start?

  7. @ITK :Only because I pasted my response from another thread
  8. http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showto...ling+a+bracelet Great thread on the oiling procedures used by various members...I personally disassemble the entire bracelet, clean it with mild soapy water, rinse, dry...place in a large container of baby oil in a dark room for 3-4 days (still disassembled) and for Rolex bracelets I use latex gloves to reassemble the bracelet IN the oil (sounds like overkill and prob is...but it works smile.gif ), pat and wipe all excess oil, wash thoroughly, pat dry and use a high quality auto wax... if there's any stiffness afterwards I might try repeating the procedure or, worst case, swapping the screws...
  9. I love the Constellation series...especially the vintages...They also come in gen Automatic or Quartz variations so if you want a reliable rep that won't be called out, a quartz or ETA Connie rep is the way to go...
  10. Welcome! You'll find that this site is by far the most comprehensive and helpful site on the net regarding watches (and not just reps either)... I saw a gen Oris on the sales board here for a great price...might be able to pick that up...be sure to read Toadtorrent's Noob guide! Feel free to PM! Edit: Here's the Oris http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showto...507&hl=Oris but it looks like it's been sold
  11. No "heavy" 5 minute markers (the white lines) as per the gen (well, they're heavier but not to gen specs), Date can be misaligned at times, bezel hangs over the case/"teeth" aren't cut properly, insert, pearl, REHUT DEPTH is a big one...I've modded mine with everything but new lume however if you're really looking for it, the rehut depth/shape is the biggest "tell"... no one's going to notice it but a true WIS but it's still not "Perfect"... I love my modded V2 ETA model though
  12. Very true...now if you save significantly more than $500 on the purchase price...you might be better off than you were purchasing the watch from an AD
  13. Windsor or Double Windsor depending on the shirt and suit
  14. Stunning! Looks great, excellent photos also!!
  15. Amazingly detailed.. it really looks like you put a ton of work into this and you deserve to enjoy it!
  16. Oh very nice... my French is rusty...we'll see... Thanks !
  17. One day she took leave and never returned... Someone said they searched for her on other forums and she had a habit of racking up a ton of posts and than just leaving... she had a ridiculous PAM/ Strap collection... hell, there's speculation she wasn't really a "she" but an elaborate prank... who knows Either way, quite entertaining!
  18. Just FYI when you look to buy a new one... Daytona's never have engraved backs like that...as far as I know, the only modern Rolexes with any engravings on the back are Sea Dwellers...
  19. Seconded... Thanks guys!!!!
  20. I have a beater with a Swiss quartz (actually brought it in Switzerland many moons ago) and this method can change the position at which the subdials and center seconds hands start...
  21. MUST RESIST
  22. HAHAHHA! Love it...great find and a nice photo...too bad Victoria isn't around any more... she'd take a fancy to you in that picture!
