  1. I wish.. sorry my gen 93250 has gone. I guess rosnick has just bought one one I'l drop him a message
  2. Great initiative! My concern is that the case lugs could be too wide not the bracelet SEL. In addition I'm pretty sure that every batch of the same case might have slightly different measures. A solution could be to produce 20.2-20.3mm SEL and then let the case owner sand it properly. Here's my WM9 v1 with a gen bracelet, as you can see there is still a quite noticeable gap. Links have 3 pins indeed:
  3. Fake, date font is the biggest tell. Nice lugs though, I wish submariner reps had the same fit..
  4. Thanks Alli & gavi, Very useful. About the price yes I know that a matte dial would have been better but for this one I think price is fair, around 3,7k$ (no b&p) I'm not sure to have the chance to open the caseback but If the date changes counterclockwise it could only be a 3035 movement, right? And anyway I think it would be crazy to have all gen parts but the movement on a 16800
  5. Well it has 593 endlinks so it could be either 16800 or 168000. I did a quick search and seems that the only "upgrade" between later 16800 and 168000 was the steel used, 168000 uses 904L. Should look like this one (post is of 2009, unfortunately it is not at that price ) http://www.rolexforu...ead.php?t=92779
  6. Thanks guys, I'll see it in person on thursday, I'll keep you updated @Tribal, 168000 because of the colour of the steel? As far as I know the 904 steel should be the only difference vs 16800?
  7. I agree on the sh*tty finish;) Btw I still don't understand it the lugs are too wide or the bracelet endlinks are too narrow. I've tried to fit a noob bracelet on a gen case and it didn't fit because my noob SELs were 20.2-20.3mm while on a etaswiss case it seems to fit properly, so I believed it was a etaswiss case issue.. Did you try a gen bracelet on?
  8. Very nice sub, congratulations;) The case is very good, probably the best so far, but it has the same old issue with the SELs. They are wider and longer than gen. I guess that a noob bracelet (with etaswiss clasp which is stunning) would fit better having endlinks a bit wider than 20mm. Too bad SA3135 doesn't accept gen hands, hope they fix it soon
  9. Hi guys, I'm not a great vintage expert but I could buy a nice 16800 Sub at a very reasonable price. Now I'm wondering if it's gen or a good franken. Unfortunately I couldn't see the watch in person yet, I will do it in case I decide to buy it. I''ve only those pics, I hope to get some movement pics soon. All seems correct, endlinks ref 593, dial, bezel, datewheel, jsut a few doubts on the CG. But it han no b&p, and the seller says it should be from the 90's, but if I'm not mistaken 16800 production ended in 1988 Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.. Pics:

  11. I would never trade a TW with a v2, v2 SELs issue is easy to spot on
  12. Hi All, I would like to build a ladies DateJust for my fiancèe, and I'm wondering if anyone already did it.. if I rememer right Ubi was working on it.. In particular, would a ETA 2671-2 fit in a 69174 genuine case? I don't mind about the spacer, my concern is about the thickness.. Another option would be to put a gen crown+dial on a rep case.. in this case which rep would be the most appropriate? Thank you in advance for your help Alex
  13. thank you chefcook.. clear
  14. yes.. but not at that price
  15. I've just read that they are slighty different but I'm not 100% sure.. I thought they were the same but the bezel on the GMT rotates bi-directionally, so different click as you mention.. The Bezels The bezel ring on the two watches are subtly different. The bezel on the GMT rotates bi-directionally, whereas the Submariner only rotates counter-clockwise. Although the insert appears to be interchangeable, the bezel is slightly thicker on the Submariner giving it a slightly more robust appearance. The picture on the right shows my extra Red-Blue GMT Bezel insert sitting on top of the Submariner bezel ring. When looking at both watches side-by-side, the slight difference in the bezel thickness, combined with the subtle difference in how the number appears in the date window give the GMT a slightly wider, shallower look. The Sub, by comparison, the face appears deeper in the case and the dial insert appears slightly smaller/narrower. In actuality, the bezel insert is the same dimensions as the GMT, but the smaller look is given by the slightly thicker bezel ring. http://minus4plus6.com/sub.htm
  16. Hi, Anybody knows whether or not a GMT bezel assembly for 16710 is the same bezel assembly (the bezel and crystal retaining ring) as the one that comes on the 16800-16610 submariner? Not the insert, just the steel parts. Thanks, Cheers Alex
  17. if you need a vintage DW (open 6 and 9) you should look for a genuine 3055 dw wich has the same ETA sequence.
  18. Yes it is And I also met a few italians here on RWG, like me, even if heading to UK soon
  19. Bezel Looks intersting for a WM9 project
  20. For sure it works with the 2092-A2 movement, I don't know on 2836-2 mov.
  21. 100% trustable, a nice example of his work: http://www.rwg.cc/members/16200-Franken-Datejust-t84434.html
  22. Reps don't use ETA date disc, that's an overlay over the ETA datewheel. About the movement, I cannot help you
  23. same of wm9 v1/ PT Supreme Great watch, but solid mid links bracelet, and not perfect crown guards WM9 v2 has better cg, superlume, better insert and hollow links bracelet. I still prefer v1 solid bracelet, even if uncorrect, it has a better SEL fitting, imho more noticeable on the wrist.
