  1. Gen parts grey market has crazy prices as well, but it does not justify the premium price on a TC or WM9 Sub. If someone spends 650$ for a used gen insert and crystal that doesn't mean that you will have your money back selling that franken. I tgink that market will level the prices sooner or later
  2. There's one on VRF in vg conditions for 699$ negotiable
  3. I saw one on VRF a few days ago, post a request in the WTB section anyway..
  4. Gen, never seen such deep teeth on a rep bezel
  5. I agree these crystals are awesome, but I still don't understand the reason to invest 300$ for a part that is incorrect for a non RRR Sub, while a perfect 2nd hand gen could be found easily at half of the money or even less. On the other hand, for a V serial sub this crystal is a must
  6. TC, nobody would say WM9v2, it makes more sense to compare TC vs. Etaswiss, like someone already did.
  7. I use a thin blade wrapped with a piece of plastic baggy or masking tape around the blade, and just slide it in. That's how I saw doing at Rolex AD when replacing my bezel.
  8. Here's the complicate bezel assembly and the "ring" we are talking about: u...read.php?t=8561
  9. And also a NOS bezel only running at $99 right now!
  10. Ah no, sorry I sd does not need a retaining ring, I guess it's enought
  11. You're right. It's 800$ without retaining ring..
  12. Congrats on your purchase, I saw that case around but I decide to skip because finding gen sea dweller parts is quite difficult amd they are very expensive. But if you complete the project it will be stunning. Did you find the gen 16660 bezel assembly yet? I guess that won't be easy to find either..
  13. No, it's correct. Swiss Made dial SEL and lugholes, same of a gen P serial. Swiss T<25 dial is with older 93150 non sel and 501b endlinks Case looks good to me, any other issue except the CG's?
  14. Actually this one is a tritium dial, so you'd need a tritium insert and lugholes
  15. Great! About modern reps accepting gen crystal, i guess tw best, tc, etaswiss, wm9 Sub, noob exII (discontinued and gen does not have AR), GmtIIc, etaswiss YM and WM9 YM. No clue about 116610 but I doubt. Probably 116200 too, but gen does not have AR, at least my z serial. The only thing i don't understand is why upgrading a 16800 168000 16200 or early pre V serial 16610
  16. Sure, last year I bought my first house and I had to sell my brand new gen 116200 because It ended up to be more expensive then expected, I know it can happen. But I just didn't sell it for a ridicolous price advertising my troubles..
  17. Anytime I hear people selling their watches for "financial troubles/family problems" ... I just get a bad feeling
  18. Hi guys, I have a couple of dj 16200 cases and I would like to fit an eta mov and a gen dial inside, without trimming the dial feet. Now I guess that the only options are a SA3135, too pricey, or a 2678+custom mov holder with dial feet holes as TC was showing on his Sub. I heard that there could be some stem issue because it's a thicker movement. Does anybody finally knows if a 2678 stem aligns properly to be fitted easily in a gen 3135 case? Another option could be to do the gen like holes in a 2824-2 mov, but too risky for me.. Thanks in advance
  19. Well for a 16610 the combination would be quite simple, modern luminova dial&insert, lugholes and SEL bracelet. Exactly the same combo of a modern sub but with lugholes. I.e a P serial.
