  1. If it was designed for gen spec case the gap on the SEL would be larger than v2. This is wider in order to fit tight on TC case. Actually tc bracelet v2 was already wider than a gen 93250, I tried it on my gen case and it does not fit. So, to use ot on a sean case you'll have to sand it
  2. Yeah you're moving in the right direction. Eta clone is very reliable and could help reducing the budget trade off gen/rep. Bracelet was the only issue of your great Sub, if v3 is good it will be almost perfect. Then a good and affordable sa3135 would be a revolution in the rep world, for many reasons good and bad. Congrats!
  3. Why would you need to swap the movement? If it's an asian clone it is supposed to be almost as reliable as a gen ETA. Btw yes you'd need to swap the dw or dw overlay (if it has one) in order to have the correct fonts.
  4. a gen 3055 would work, but it's hard to find. Also an early 3135 with open 6 and 9, but it's even harder to get. Here's my 16014 with gen 3055 dwo
  5. Glad to know you found the hands Looking forward seeing the final buid!
  6. Yeah service lumi dial and hands. About the dw, why are you looking for a silver one? A white one with open 6 and 9 would be correct, you have only to pay attention to the eta number sequence which is different from the 3035
  7. Phong is a good way but he charges 300$ for revengraving the lugs. Tc removes the engraving because a V serial # without the rehaut engravind does not exist and would scream fake as well.
  8. Yes gen with service dial hands and bezel insert. Early 16610 and 16800/0 have this datewheel.
  9. 16610 has deeper rehaut, and probably different dw (open 6' and 9' vs closed) even if early 16610 had both version
  10. I would go for a 16610 with lugholes. This case is copmpletely off for a 16800 and the DW with open 6 and 9 could be hard to find. 3035 case from startime looks good instead, if you want a 16800. With a 16610 with lugholes you have these options: t<25 tritium dial, hands and insert, 93150 bracelet, open or closed dw SWISS dial, luminova hands and insert, 93150 bracelet, closed dw SWISS MADE dial, luminova hands and insert, 93250 bracelet, closed dw The third one is the easilest, just put a modern dial and insert, TC bracelet and TC dwo, and you'll have mine: edited: sorry alligoat you replied while I was writing..
  11. Gen 16610 height is 2.7. Date disc font changed a bit over the years, but crystal, data mag and gasket are the same.
  12. When you see TC crown on person you realize that is quite different compared to gen. It has a highly enjoyable return for little investment (around 40$).
  13. Doesn't Startime have a 16610 or 16800 Sub case only?
  14. Isn't it the Retro version? I don't remember a 2893 though edited: no it's a different watch the one you're talking about..
  15. Unfortunately it's a (very nice) fake. Look at these details: Gen: Lines are continuous: Left from under, right from up: Yours: lines at the bottom are interrupted, and at the top both lines from underside
  16. Will not be an accurate 14060
  17. Nice one. TC definetely. Only issues are the bezel teeth not as sharp as a gen and the the bracelet's gap. You can fix them though
  18. I've considered that option, but the wrong and not fixable CG's are holding me to start. I'll wait for a better EXII case or for a so caled 1:1 GMT that hopefully sooner or later will be released.
  19. Same size, but I guess gen deeper bezel teeth give the optical illusion.
  20. just open a claim with ebay/paypal, they would reimburse you 100% for sure.
