I did some reserach on AR coating. Most of the AR coatings are done in the lab. But you can do it yourself as long as you are willing to invest on a vacuum coater or a chemical coater. It's around $300 - $1000 for a used one.

You won't scratch the crystal for removing the AR coating. You only dip the crystal in the chemcial and then wash it with water. The AR coating will be soluted in the chemical.
