  1. It's true...the Rollis are small relative to the current fashion for large watches. Their value is in the history of them. Check out Red Watchesfor some really interesting reading.
  2. I love the Blackbird...awesome...the teeth are great too!
  3. That is very nice. Those pics are awesome too. BTW...your lume dots are lookin' pretty good...no worries there!!!
  4. There's an Antiquorum auction coming up in May that might have one...check them out. They have had a few 1680's go through them.
  5. Ditto...don't like the the white...like the black...but a blue (black and blue) would give you Fight Club bruising.
  6. I have that dial and the white dial with black sub registers...love them both.
  7. Just to make matters worse...I bought a panda 6263...loved it...but got a deal on the black dial with red markings...and the retro styling of this dial and the chunkier number font is so amazing...I rotate both regularly. They are entirely different watches.
  8. That is beautiful. Big congrats on this one...awesome. I love those Cortebert bridges
  9. OMG...that was some of the funniest stuff I've read in awhile...HILARIOUS!!!
  10. The problem with the rep crown and tube is that the thread pitch and depth is bad so it strips really easily.
  11. Fantastic. A proud moment for sure. They've got 4 years to Russia!!
  12. They're easily found new. I bought mine from Perrin in Toronto. The part number is located in the Omega Chrono post linked in my signature.
  13. Wow...what a collection and a treat to see all those great pieces in your hand. Beautiful pics too. What was your impresion of the VDB piece? It's a beauty.
  14. Great stuff BURRRRRRRRRPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!! Ever thought of re-posting here?
  15. Great to here!!! Congrats...and what a way to make the hobby interesting and challenging. Now...the next challenge...start posting some technical tutorials on your experiences!!!
  16. Look for Vac. I've never used him...but there are lots of reviews of his work on this board.
  17. The rep factory way would be to take a good Swiss movement and add on a crappy seconds at six mod so it would be expensive and still suck.
  18. Hah hah...mmmm...owl scat... Yeah...this is slick. I think on a bracelet it would look sick...but on rubber, way more comfortable for this one.
  19. 1) Chrono - IWC 2006 CD Ziggified 2) Dressy Hand Wind - Not a handwind for me here...but a vintage Rolex DJ (wife has a A. Lange & Sohne fantasy) 3) Sporty automatic - Breitling Skyland 4) Quartz for outdoor activity - Rolex SSD 5) Misc Fave - PAM 239 Ziggified on vintage leather HackR...I like your overpacking.
  20. Yeah...if only there were swiss options for some of these complications or a7750 modded movements (i.e. seconds at 6, seconds at 12, etc). Sigh...one can but dream.
  21. Are you talking the inner rotating bezel is not working? Where are you located? If in the EU Domi and Francisco are the people to go to. In North America The Zigmeister is the man!
  22. This unfortunately is a problem with the Omega reps. It has something to do with the thread pitch of the tube/crown. You should get a gen crown and tube and replace the existing rep ones. In the UK...don't know...but Francisco is in Spain and Domi I believe is in Germany so either should not be an issue shipped within the EU.
  23. Do you have the tools? Are you looking at a full movement breakdown and rebuild or just the assembly? There isn't really a tutorial needed. You can look up any of the tutorials in my signature and they will show you hand removal and re-installation and will cover stem removal and re-insertion as well (the general rule being to remove from the winding position, and depress the stem release button while turning in the winding direction and pulling out). The same rules apply for movement rings and holders and what not.
