I actually find it kind of entertaining...I feel for the guy...I really do. Trying to make the best decision...but treating it like the FINAL decision. I came here looking for 1 watch how long ago? Now I just got 4 more this week?? The last one was my last rep...really it was...only because I missed out on the Patinga's Ebel 1911 Discovery sale 2 minutes ago. At least he is reading the material about movements and stuff...but trying to answer the questions of modding waaay too early in the rep experience process, instead of not reading and expecting members to do his research for him.

$1500 vs. $35,000...big delta!! Thanks Vlydog for taking this on...and thanks Spin for providing good customer service. This is one of those tricky situations because I'm sure Vlydog did in fact sell in good faith, not being aware of any issues and representing things as he saw and understood them to be. Glad to hear things are moving and this didn't get crazy or out of hand. Two thumbs up for all the gents!!

The 2892 is a better movement. The issue on it though is that it is significantly thinner than the 2836/2824 which causes issues with stem alignment. I'm guessing with CNC options, anything is possible but it's a matter of cost effectiveness for one-off production. The movement diameters are the same if I remember right (my reference material is not where I am)...but the thicknesses are around 1mm so then you run into problems of cannon pinion height, datewheel sinking, etc. If you buy an A21J version first, you'll have to cut off the dial feet and get dial dots to glue the dial onto the new movement. You'll have to source a new datewheel as the datewheel on the Asian may not work properly with the ETA...and then you'll need new hands. If you want to go the Asian route first...best start with at least the Asian ETA clone, then at least datewheel and hands are fine...and odds are good the movement will be fine too. If it craps out, just get it fixed or get a gen 2836 and plop it in.

Yeah...I think the first few responses should ease up on Auman20. That dial sucks. When we on the forum are complaining about 2-3 lume dots on a Skyland not being centered and vendors are correcting this, sloppy, inconsistent hash marks going off the subdials on ALL the subdials is crap. That dial is not good. I certainly wouldn't be happy with that. I just bought a Seagull manual wind 6263 that although lacking the concentric rings on the subdials, looks way better than that dial IMHO.

The 111h is a specific model and is a black sandwich dial. Does Superlume matter? It depends. Do you care how much your watch glows at night? If not, it doesn't matter. If it matters, does it matter enough to pay $100 extra for it? Superlume is just improved lume that glows better and is usable at night or in the dark for more hours. Standard lume glows bright for 30s after charge but fades quick and is essentially unusable after an hour or more depending on the quality. My Ziggified true RC Tritec Superluminova watches are bright enough to read War and Peace to in a dim room. I love it...others couldn't care less. Can you get a good looking 111h for around $150? It all depends on your level of pickiness. Some people will double the price of the rep to get a flatter crown guard pin, a different crown guard and possibly a slightly thicker crown. It all depends on your priorities. The problem with the forums are they are filled with watch nuts. Watch nuts see things others wouldn't and spend time and money on things that non-watch folks wouldn't even notice if you pointed the issue out to them at 500x magnification and circled the problem area in red. Some people go nuts about date fonts or pearl quality, others lume, others polished vs. brushed details. I'm not sure where you're at in your purchase or level of pursuit of accuracy.
