  1. Hey folks, Just saw this crazy deal at Prestige Watch Company (PWC) over at RG...sellers of the infamous reviewed $99 green sapphire Milgauss. They now have the recently released pimple dial and blue surf model MMD's for $99. Yup...CLAIMED to be the same one as the $179 standard issue, but looks to be a little different. I couldn't afford to say no. PWC MMD Sale
  2. Depending on the vintage, spring bars or screws. You might need some specialized screwdrivers (small ones).
  3. Indeed. Thanks for taking the time to do this. I love the Tourby. More pics of that one please! How do you like that one? Is it a Seagull tourby movement? It's nice to see a tourby in a sport model. I tried on a gen Blancpain FF Tourby...wow!!
  4. High quality 1655 based on gen? Proper thickness? Right bezel font?? Wow...bring it on!!! If only they can make one with a gen 2893-2, or an Asian copy of it.
  5. That's awesome...gotta love the snowy white!
  6. That is a very nice watch. Big congrats on that one!! I was going to say an X-Wind.
  7. This is a great piece. I debated between one of these or the Submersible line...you know which way I went. I love that caseback.
  8. Welcome aboard and thanks for posting. You just found yourself the best watch forum around...gen or rep!! If you like watches, you found home. If you want amazing technical information...you found home-PLUS! Post some pics of your GMT. It's a great piece.
  9. Just goes to show, that those who are interested in watches are one thing, those that have an awareness of authentication are another. Regardless of whether or not the owner thinks it's real (unlikely) or just a really good rep, what the poster thinks is "excellent" or "crappy" is what's funny. There are many in the art world who are interested in paintings, sculpture, etc...the artists, their history, valuation and all that, but couldn't do crap when it comes to verification of authenticity. Retention of information is one thing, ability to use visual analysis is another.
  10. I thought I had changed them...and for the most part...I had. However, a few links like those to the Wiki don't work. Does the Wiki no longer exist? Not that it was really heavily utilized.
  11. Whoops...they were supposed to be fixed. That was a by-product of a big forum software update that changed the link structure. I'll take a look and see what I can do. Sorry about that.
  12. Good job JMB. Gotta start somewhere...and this looks like a good one. The start is learning to remove and reinstall the stem. That's needed for CG mods. Then...decasing the movement, and recasing...then removing hands...then dial, etc. The goal? Have fun. The side benefit? Learning new and creative ways to swear and curse.
  13. Thanks for taking the step on the upgrade bud!! Be patient with Admin...new kid...this is just a hobby...so it takes time. He's usually super fast...but sometimes there's bumps in the response time, especially after a big system upgrade. Don't lose faith!!
  14. It's an interesting collection, that's for sure. I like the blue surf, but not so sure if the surf motif will get too "comical" in time for me. I like the dimple dial that's for sure.
  15. A thread is worthless without pictures.
  16. Ditto. I was looking at the Hont site...got excited when I thought I spotted one and realized it was the black dial with bad lighting.
  17. I would actually prefer it without any of the Top Gun branding.
  18. Great photo. I keep all my watches by my computer too...no pics of it though.
  19. Good find indeed. Keep us posted on swimming with it. It should be alright as it's not a chrono case.
  20. Just noticed a V1 Top Gun ceramic on the board for $220.
