I just picked one up a few days ago...that's why I picked up on it. Great artistic concept on the pics.

With the gen raffle watches, shipping is always done tracked and customs value is full. This may add cost to the buyer but protects you and your reputation...just be clear any customs or additional costs are the buyer's problem. You can come up with some procedure for returning money based on authenticity only. Because of authenticity issues, people will want pictures of enough details that they can ascertain authenticity. Your later pics with good light will be much better to use than the fuzzy out of focus ones. Ideally people would want movement pictures but I think people should realize not everybody has the ability or comfort to open up their gens. IMHO the buyer should choose to proceed or not proceed based on their comfort level (i.e. if the seller can't provide the details the buyer wants like receipts or specific tricky pics or whatever, they don't have to buy...nobody's making them). Personally, I would pursue private options first for larger items...less likely HASSLE from your end because you have history and experience with a potential buyer...but this may be of risk of getting a lower price than if you opened it up to the general population. It's an issue of hassle vs. money. I'm like you in that I've tonnes of crap away because I can't be bothered to make a couple bucks waiting for no-shows on a Craigslist or Kijiji listing...more hassle than the few dollars it generates. The risk on the private is that there's no public paper trail to use in case of issues on either the buyer or seller end. Like Lani says...the board cut is a donation. If you find the board is helping you create space in the watch box, throw some money that way. If you find it a bit steep, just make sure whatever price you want to NET, incorporates any donations or other expenses you get annoyed by. Good luck. I know I'll keep my eyes open. For pricing...it's up to you and how badly you want to move product.

Glad to be able to return the favour!

Agreed...nice shot. I think you meant 6263 for the first shot though.

Replacing the pearl is popular...but only if it bugs you. some are worse than others.

It's just me and my M107. Naah...don't even shoot at all.

Exactly. For small stuff like rings, watches, ammunition...whatever floats your boat...it's the convenience that's good. Don't get me wrong, I can appreciate a full Softbox and Speedotron rig as much as the next guy...but hey...stick it in your laptop bag with a pocket POS and you're rocking.

It's been great to get to know you R...a real hoot. Glad to have you here. As Lanny or Dluddy can say, here's to the next 5000!

I was telling Offshore that I'm not too concerned about the lights. This is just a cheap and cheerful diffuser setup. Use your own lights or even 2 desk laps with colour temp that your digicam can balance to and you'll be set. It beats having towels or paper or whatever to setup everytime you want to take a pic. It's small and portable...and gives at least a bit of a base to rig up a mini-seamless to.

Spelling error...he sent me a pic of it so I knew what he was talking about.

All gold ones can be alright...but they won't be solid gold unless you get some of the small limited run ones that do exist...but they cost thousands as a rep. The big issue is the weight is way off. The gold ones are hefty if you've ever worn one...really heavy!! The all gold rep will feel like a SS sub really. It will look fine though. Search in the Rolex section to see if there are any reviews of them. There are some good TT Subs and GMTIIs out...again...you'll have to search for reviews in the Rolex area. The recommended dealers to order stock from are listed HERE. There are some issues with gold wearing down with heavy everyday use...how long a time frame I'm not sure about. Good luck...keep us posted on what you find...and welcome to the forum. Read the Noob Guide linked in my sig to get you started.

You can never have too many climbing shoes. Are those 5.10 Anasazi's? I could never fit them. I'm a Sportiva guy for the most part...but have been climbing in some Montrails at the gym mostly. I've got at least 6 pairs of climbing shoes...not sure really...and 3 pairs of carbon fiber cycling shoes.

@ Red...you can do the mod on this one to make it more visually accurate...if it bothers you. When you hold these things in your hand, you have to assess at the size of the piece, whether it bugs you enough to have the hour hand in synch with the 6-o-clock subdial, or whether or not you would rather freeze it. I'll probably freeze mine in the future...but right now, it bothers me none.

I thought it was pretty clear. Hundreds of thousands of dollars invested in gen and rep watches. Wife is not concerned about the volume of money spent on the watches...but is concerned that there are a million cases of them cluttering up spaces in the closet where her hand bags are supposed to go. She couldn't care less that the rep costs $500 or the gen costs $5000...she just doesn't want the cases crashing on her coconut...AGAIN...when she's trying to reach through the oudated Chanel purses to get to the back to get out her Berkin baggie.

I hate you. I want that one now. I took a close look at the ST19 in my 6263...man that is one sexy piece of micro-machinery. Great piece bud!!

RWG Browser crashing and/or uber slow
Toadtorrent replied to mastrmindalliance's topic in Introduction/Rules/Support
It shouldn't have anything to do with the upgrade as that's all backend...no client software or anything. I have IE6 at work and occasionally it crashes there...actually more than occasionally. At home though it's fine. -
Remember on any tourby Defy X you find (there will probably be a super cheap one out there off this site...low end quality), it will be a fake tourbillon. There is not one with a gen tourby movement. It won't have the cool rotating escapement...just an exposed bridge showing the balance wheel.

Very nice watches. Nice pics too. That SA is HUGE!! I love the contrasting dials.

Let me ask one of my support guys if they have experience with this. It should copy things directly as a byte-to-byte copy of the drive and not as a file to file so content should not be an issue. This is an older link, but may be of use. Acronis and BSD Boot Loader
