SD- Just keep doing what you are doing. It will always be trial and error. Just look at the variation on the gen dials. Thin indices, thick indices, discolored tritium, etc. But yeah, we will wait as long as it takes to get the PAD printing correct. That is critical.

And just to reiterate Pete's comment. Used is often a great way to buy higher quality straps. Take a look at Paneristi but bear in mind you often have to act quickly as the better straps disappear too quickly.

Congrats. I love mine. It is too big to be anything other than a weekend watch but it definitely is an eye catcher. I use it as my beach watch. Definitely worth getting checked for water resistance.

Gran- Great review. All reps don't suck. I think it is a pretty stunning reproduction of a $17k piece. On the end links, no worries the gens often fit poorly as well. By the way, get that wife under control.... or perhaps I should say if you can you are a better man than I.

Actually I think reps have made some pretty significant steps forward. AP Divers (both SS and Full Carbon) and Royal Oaks getting ever closer to gen, Panerai 3 day movements improving significantly aesthetically, reasonably priced V6 Hublot's and a couple of well-done new names - JLC Navy Seals, Chopard Mille. Etc.

My advice is to look for one of the cheapie quartz watches that dealers have sold from time to time or buy someone's used broken one and keep for parts. I have owned a Franken or two as well and it was the smartest thing I did. The lug pins can strip, screws can be scratched or dented, and whoever got a rep with all screw slots perfectly centered.

I suspect that like me everyone else is happy to be patient. Many of us have been waiting for a quantum leap in Pre-V dials like this for years. Thanks for your continued heroic effort. No one is going anywhere.
