  5. Sweet and I'm feeling that Nato , good call ST4
  6. Sterling effort and very informative Thanks for putting this together ST4
  7. OK Firstly I hope you understand that these are not very accurate replicas the dial is very wrong as they should be the hollowed out type FGD style and not the sausage that is on the rep. Secondly as far as I know these have not been made for quite sometime and the one I got was from a forum sale here on RWG a while back. Thirdly, this is not a board recommended dealer, I know there have been some who have used her but I have not and it cannot be guaranteed in any shape or form. You could try THIS ST4 just noticed that Tony Watcheden apparently has them as well, a bit more expensive but a safer bet I guess
  8. Hard choice Dude. Have you tried them both on? What was your gut feeling? If you can get a F series 111 then that would be a good one. I think decorated bridges are a bit of a Must IMHO. But the thing that would bother me is our Reps are just so good why drop around 4k on a gen. So that puts the 104 as the magnifier and Date font are a real bonus. I actually miss the date on my historics some timesAnd the K+ series strap system is a good rep v gen difference. Either one would be nice to own at the end of the day, good to have the choice I guess ST4
  9. Nope and not likely , which is a shame as there are very cool looking watches ST4
  10. Very nice indeed I miss the one I had , but I never really felt I could pull it off. Wear it well ST4
  11. I think like Magpies we are inherently drawn to shiny things. But there is definitely a place for Black watches in anyone's collection. I've just changed straps on my PAM195 and its my new favourite watch again. Though the Hublots are perhaps more fashion orientated I really don't see black as a fashion type thing and if it was it would tend towards Goth rather than cutting edge designer. Haven't the likes of Heuer and Porsche/IWC be doing PVD type stuff since the 70's. I guy I work with has a Gen Fortis Chronograph in PVD and it looks stunning but very subtle. It makes a refreshing change from the standard corporate seamaster look. Go for it you never know you might like it.
  12. as I suggested here hxxp://www.rwg.cc/members/badly-Pam-111h-CG-S-t93718.html&hl=screw and the answer is still here on fleabay item number: 310127880479
  13. I think the answer is that DSN the only source for 240 dials. On a gen vs rep post I read that the main difference is the depth of the subdial.DSN's lume is pretty good as it goes so a re lume may not be requiredST4 I think the answer is that DSN the only source for 240 dials. On a gen vs rep post I read that the main difference is the depth of the subdial.DSN's lume is pretty good as it goes so a re lume may not be requiredST4
  14. Where the strap is being rubbed on the case is there an indentation a sort of thumb like mark, if there is then I think there really is nothing you can do really. But different cases act in different ways and have really small size differences I have the same issue with some straps on some cases and if i move the strap to another case its fine and they really do look the same. Sorry I don't have photos but when you see the notch you'll know what i mean ST4
  15. Try taking the tubes out if there are any.It happens lugs too short, no notch and thick straps equalsWorn bits.I think you either have to buy anothe Pam to fit the straps andAnother strap to fit the Pam you've already got.You could source another case if yours do not have the notch. Not the answer you want sorryA few of mine have the same issueOvertime it will wear smooth and become less obvious.
  16. HIKE that 26 is well nice Thursday is already coming to an end for me
  17. That movement is the DoGs Knackers Awesome, bet that wasn't cheap, blimey wear it well ST4
  18. BG1 That looks to be a nice first Pam, The movement is correct for that model but the issues are the Cannon pin fix (the bit the hands are attached to) looks not so good, for some of us the big black cap in the middle would drive us crazy. The minor detail is that the case numbers should be on the lugs and not on the caseback but no one would ever know this and as you correctly state you rarely meet another panerai wearer. The Brown dial is nice but might not be ideal for all occasions as it really is quite an odd colour for a watch dial, I have a 055 and though I like it very much its not for everyday. The titanium cases are great so light and smooth and really wear well, you may find issues with the crown but it looks great form the pictures nice and thick, but it may not actually be titanium , but again this would only be an issue for some of us Pam fans and can easily be fixed at a later date. Josh is a very easy dealer to buy from and my transactions with him have always be quick and smooth and you get what you see. You'll be wanting a new strap in time as well. In the end it doesn't really matter because once the bug bites you will be looking for a second , third or forth one soon enough. So be warned Hope this helps ST4
  19. Thanks CBR, thats what I was a thinking but it just seems not to be the case with mine really strange
