  1. The fact that you posted your opinions at all is, in fact, a request for others opinions. For you to rant on about how you didn't ask for anyones opinions, etc, just makes it look like your original post was a troll. If you don't want peoples opinions, don't post on a public forum, plain and simple.
  2. What year did the gens start having this etching? Is it also present in the ladies models?
  3. The 2836-2 Exp2 I got from Eddie does in fact support 2 time zones by allowing independent adjustment of the hour hand, but the only problem with this watch is that the date changeover is fixed to the GMT hand passing 0:00.
  4. I think a lot of people will end up bending or breaking the stem this way. I've pulled the stem out of my 2836-2 many times and never had problem with the collapsing gears from pushing too hard......I always just apply light pulling pressure to the crown while slowly giving the release button more pressure.
  5. I was just kidding around w/ you But I do like the 088. For me, the more clutter (with complications, not bling) the better as long as I can still read everything properly. I'd take any luminor over any radomir in terms of looks. I don't like the "wire style" strap mounts or the "flowery" looking crown.
  6. Eddie, So sorry to hear about this crap...looks like we need a buyer feedback section on these boards!
  7. For the seconds of course! I'm the opposite - I like the 088 more than the two others.
  8. Andrew carries one, but not accurate to the gen...
  9. The gen is also just as difficult to open.
  10. My asian SMP GMT had a bent crown stem right where it entered the crown..bugged me a lot because it took a lot of effort not to cross-thread it when locking it down. I eventually took it out and used some pliers to bend it back as straight as I could. Worked like a charm. My 090 wobbles a slight bit, but since PAMs have their unique locking mechanism, it doesn't bug me at all.
  11. My first and only PAM is the 090 from King and I like it a lot...deployant clasp on leather strap, date, power reserve, and subseconds. The 111 is too plain for my tastes.
  12. Do they do repairs too? Was thinking about getting a watch with the Asian 7750 and swapping with one of their Valjoux 7750 units.
  13. AFAIK, it's the Asian 7750 with 28.8k impulses per hour. I purchased the Blue Senna edition a few weeks ago for a friend and like it so much that I want one for myself too. I visited an AD and the clasp release (have to pull very hard) is just as stiff on the gen as on the rep.
  14. It doesn't if it has a hack mechanism. You only need to wind the movement down to work on the internals...
  15. I saw a woman wearing a TT ladies DJ at the dog park.
  16. Just sounds like you need to realign the hour hand
  17. Most important to me is the price and quality of her pieces. I can live with the one email every 24 hours procedure she has set up...just be a little more patient for her responses and make your e-mails as polite as possible. Tell her exactly what you want, attach pictures if possible, and ask her to give you the price and send payment instructions. If she forgets to answer one of your questions, just reply with a polite but straight-to-the-point email asking the question again. The item I received the fastest since shipment was from King - 2 working days from China to the US..was amazing. I'm very happy to have her among our trusted dealers.
  18. My experience with King's watches is that they are just as good as our other dealers standard stock, but cost much less. With watches that can come from different factories such as the PO or Subs, I have no clue which she uses since I don't have much interest in them. She only seems to reply to emails once per ~24 hours, but I haven't emailed her recently so I don't know why she hasn't replied to you. I'm guessing she doesn't want to bother with case diameter measurements and is just doing this selling stuff on the side for fun.
  19. Lots of information here: http://dsbl.org/main Like I said, I use my own mailserver, so it's easy to configure...I'm not sure if you can use it if you're using POP or IMAP from someone else's mailserver.
  20. I don't think it's from these rep sites...it's probably someone's computer who ran some kind of trojan/virus, like someone you paid with Paypal... I run my own mailserver and I used to get tons of this stuff, especially v1agra/c1alis spam, but adding dns blacklists have helped a lot!
  21. It would if the date window were on the right side of the watch, but date/subsecond destros have the date window on the left side next to the crown (because the subseconds are on the other side), so it would be upside down.
  22. Yeah you could change a base to a destro pretty easily, but with the subseconds and date, that requires a whole new dial and datewheel with upside down printing.
  23. What's the best way to tell if what you're getting from a Gbay auction is a true ETA and not an asian clone? Also, will all the watches that use an asian 7750 be compatible with the real ETA 7750 (except daytona of course)?
  24. I must have done it out of sheer luck, but I managed to get my PAM 090 from King to keep such good time that it's scary. Time was synchronized to the time.gov website 3 days ago, and today it's 1 second behind. It sat on my kitchen counter for the first day, I wore it to work yesterday, and it sat again on the kitchen counter since last night with the power reserve pointing to 40. I'm totally amazed that I managed to get the adjustment lever to the right spot (moving the lever tiny bits at a time). It now keeps time better than my Citizen Eco Drive quartz, which is fast by about 2 seconds per day!
  25. The most obvious one to me is the thickness of the minute marker rectangles.. The date mag may also be too weak. The hands also don't look like some that I've seen in gen pics in the area of the lume as well as the overall shape, but that may have been updates through the years...
