I like the dark blue, rose gold and steel combination, very rich and handsome. This is a very intriguiging watch, it's growing on me. Talk about a conversation starter when worn.

The Zigmeister, your patience and integrity never ceases to amaze me, a lesser mortal would have probably given up and refunded the client's money.

I just came from iOffer.com and found some pretty nice Lange reps. Of course, the dealers that have them there seem to be fairly new with not much feedback, unfortunately. But I did find a few there that seemed very tempting - a Datograph in rose gold with black dial, and I did see the Lange with dual sub dials and big date, so not so difficult to find after all. I may ask the dealer some questions, if I feel comfortable I may take a chance and buy from iOffer. I gotta run now, sorry, no time to post link but just go to iOffer & type in Lange & Sohne.

Err, oops. Surely, in the spirit of the season, you would...possibly...spare us?

When he was around, and if you came across someone whom you thought was wearing a rep, you would say "Jetmid?" And the person should reply "is my hero". Never had the nerve to try that one out.

Wow, I just read my post and everything is running together, took out my paragraph breaks, repeated some phrases. I didn't set it up that way. -

Gio, thanks much for this review, very interesting.Your pix always make me want to buy the watch, they have such an approachable feel.Actually, I've been lusting for a Daytona forever, may be I should just do it & hope for the best. When you fire 'er up to wear, what is your winding method?Gio, thanks much for this review, very interesting.Your pix always make me want to buy the watch, they have such an approachable feel.Actually, I've been lusting for a Daytona forever, may be I should just do it & hope for the best. When you fire 'er up to wear, what is your winding method? -

Chopard Mille Miglia GMT chronograph, white dial/black subdials

After all this time of waiting and head banging and teeth gnashing, the first finished product finally delivered and....the seconds hand is floating around, and the date wheel is doing some angled thing. SIGH. I guess I'll wait until the "improved clean stocks" version comes out. I give up, I'm moving on. Lan, your positive attitude is admirable.

In a perverse way, it will be sad to see this thread wind down. Hmm, maybe we can transfer it to Looney bin and keep it alive.

I can not believe I just did this! (Help needed)

Good for you guys! RWG at its finest. -
I think it may be just an involuntary gesture on the Shah's part, I know that I often have to re-adjust my watch to sit in the middle of my wrist, it tends to slide to the outside of my wrist often, just the way my wrist is shaped. I suspect the photo was taken just when he was re-centering his watch. I know, not as interesting of an explanation, but plausible nontheless.

Happy Thanksgiving to you, your BF and family, V. On the right sized wrist the Bentley indeed looks very sexy. On topic, I use bezels to time parking meters, very useful. I'd like to use my asian 7750 chronos to time things I'm doing just for mindless fun, but sadly, I'm afraid to use the chrono for fear the movement will break. I wish they'd refine this movement.
-
Good topic, V. I'm strongly considering buying a Chopard Mille Miglia GMT chrono, white dial/black subs but haven't done it yet because sometimes it looks just too busy. Other days I think it's drop dead gorgeous. I'm very torn right now.

On such a special occasion as your wedding, please, no sports watches. It ruins the elegance of a tuxedo. It's time (no pun) to dress up, and your watch should be something sleek & elegant, and understatedly luxurious. My suggestion - Cartier, Patek, some of the JLCs. Congrats to you and your fiance.

I adore Manhattan and its architecture, so dense, such history. And you get to fly around it?
-
How absolutely refreshing of you, By-tor! I agree with you 1000%, if some of the bigger watches were a mil or 2 smaller they would be so much more aesthetic and proportioned on the wrist, look so much better. Sometimes I make myself take a really objective look in the mirror when I'm wearing a big watch and I cringe a little.

Stop it, you guys. I've been wanting a Daytona for sooo long but, you know - the notorious movement, darn it!
-
I don't believe there are any rep watches to be found in Chi Chinatown.

Like i said - Jesus phone, Jesus watch

Congrats Um, what do you do for a living if I may ask?

Tag Heuer Aquaracer owners : your comments on this version ?

Pix, that is one beautiful watch, looks like like it costs way more than what you paid for it. Good for you! Now I want one, but I'm afraid it may be too big for me. Don't you just love the interesting watches you can find on iOffer and cqout? A lot more fun than agonizing about the latest over-priced rep. -
Finally, it had to happen...I have an Unknown ETA movement

Of course, the thought come to mind - I wonder what implications this will have regarding future servicing and sourcing replacement parts of this movement? -

Well I don't know how it compares to the expensive rep but I think it is a very sharp watch for $100, accurate or not. And I'm sorry but quartz is much more carefree than the asain 7750 movements, go for it, this a nice watch. May I ask who the dealer is?
