Yes, case in point - the Bulgari Assioma, Josh said rep makers went to hell and back to rep this watch - why bother? I can't believe it was a big seller, Bulgari is not taken seriously, known as a fashion marque.

What happened to repping the EBel 1911 BTR chronograph
rek001 replied to ajoesmith's topic in Other Brands Area
I agree with you, ajoe, the parts of the design of this watch just seem to blend so nicely together, into a seamless, beautiful whole. Makes the HBB look like a bunch of left over parts sort of cobbled together. -
That does it, I've made up my mind that the secs @ 6 Daytona is not worth it, the movement is jerry rigged and has a very good chance of failing. A real shame. @mag1119 I've seen an inexpensive version of this all black Daytona on cqout.com, it looks really sharp.

Just to add, I believe the SFSO is a massive watch, from everything I've seen, I think it wears bigger than the BCE, but maybe I'm wrong. Not to thread crap but who carries the ultimate BCE nowadays?
-
Yeah, V, I know how you feel Silix SFSO is quite the bargain, and I love bargains (I've been shopping on Cqout lately ) but sometimes you just have to say no, I can't wear this hockey puck. Anyway, would you consider waiting for the 42mm Aquatimer chrono, allegedly arriving end of October? That's what I'm holding out for. Jeez, do you really have over 60 reps? I've been on rep forums for 4 years now and I have about 30 watches.
-
Err, V - I gotta step in and ask, are you sure it's not going to be a bit big for you? As you know, I've got a 6.5" wrist and after much teeth gnashing I've decided it's just too big for me, this watch has a massive presence.

Bah! I've given up waiting, when it comes it comes, I'll have to wait some more anyway - I really want it on bracelet.

Beautiful watch J, enjoy it.

Abe's of Maine -I just bought a Canon SD 800 from them, factory packaging & warranty and best pricing.

Interesting thread, dredging up the Watchonpo site that used to be so hot around here at one time. Has anyone figured out where their manufacturing base is for the models that our dealers can't get?
-
What a coincidence, I've been drooling over this one. I have a cut-out paper version of this watch in the correct size sitting in my office. Don't laugh, that's how I determine if I can wear the watch and not look silly (6.5" wrist). Alas, the lugs extend a bit beyond the edges of my wrist, not good. Why oh why did they make the lugs so long on this one, I can pull off a base Luminor no problem.
-
Really nice watch! I love the shape of the crown on these pilots watches.
-
I was thinking of Pug's diagram when I made my comment regards the lugs extending beyond wrist edge.
-
OK, I'll add my 2 cents. I'm a girl and the owner of 4 Pams which I truly enjoy, and I think it's all about the lugs. Doesn't matter if you are boy or girl, if the lugs extend beyond the edges of your wrist it's too big for you.

A reliable Daytona....PLEASE. You will sell many, many units guaranteed. I don't get it. Look at the dealer's sites and you see what, at least 20 Daytona variants, and they keep rolling more out despite prevailing collectors buzz that they're gorgeous but expensive paperweights. Enough already! One would think the dealers are sick & tired of the whingeing e-mails regards the secs @ six bomb.

Need shopping advice - where to buy digital camera
rek001 replied to rek001's topic in The looney bin
Thanks for your responses. Vly, I actually was thinking of going with Abe's, they have a very good price for this cam but they were closed for Jewish holidays until today. I will buy from them first thing tomorrow, thanks for good refereence! -
I've bought some very nicely executed reps from dealer tonyxkf at cqout. From him I have an AP ROO, a PO chrono, and a TT Navi. Each one was about $86 shipped, and the quality/price ratio is superb. Sorry I don't have a camera handy right now, but I will try to take some pix soon.

Hi all and happy weekend. I finally decided on an ultracompact digi cam - a Canon SD 800 IS. I need the camera before October 5th. Now I need some advice from whom to buy, internet dealers seem to have the best pricing, some don't charge taxes and shipping. Can anyone give me a recommendation for a good, reputable, no grey market, no bait-n-switch dealer please? In advance, I thank you!
-
I'd be in for a Slevin please, if the discount is right. (I don't think you answered Pug's question - do you have the Aquatimer chrono?)
-
Very nice watch and great review, Pix - is this one from Tony? I love the cheap-but-well-done watches from cqout, iOffer and Loudfrog. Are you sure it's too big, after all, I've seen some Pam wristshots which are borderline too big, but yet....

On news radio this morning they interviewed a father whose son died in 9/11, and he said that he felt he hadn't hugged his son enough, because, you know, men don't show their emotions that way. And now he's gone. So go home and show some love and appreiation to whomever you've got in your life beacuse you never know.
-
Glad it worked out well for you. I have slim wrist so I'm always taking links out of my new rep bracelets and I dread it - every time there is a frozen screw or the screw doesn't want to get tightened again or some such nonsense. I always have to struggle sizing the bracelet, makes me crazy.
