  1. I hope you like it
  2. Ah anyway, a comparison for you. Standard lume on hands and dial: Superlumed hands and dial: The bottom line is; not all reps come with crappy lume (especially recent batch of PAM rep).
  3. This is the infamous Asian 21j with faux chrono movement. I believe you can get it from cousinsuk/Jules Borel under China movement. Choose DG.
  4. The second pictures features an ETA7750 movement. That's the standard rotor which comes with the movement (ETA7750). This is on my piece:
  5. Well... Cost savings contributes to this. Imagine this; cost of 1g SuperLuminova powder is about 40 CHF. 1 gram you can made into about 5 watches including hands. Now... let's picture with china made lume which costs 0.4 CHF. Which one will the chinese repmakers choose?
  6. Still one of these two:
  7. Switching between these 2:
  8. Same piece, sans double AR on crystal. There is "tinted" blue... but it's not double AR.
  9. That I have to disagree. Best way to ship: AirMail!
  10. Well... Ti, non chrono. You have quite a limited choice. How about PAM? There are really decent selection of PAM on Ti. For example 036, 177 or 196. I am a fan of Ti watches too. I can't think of anything else of something non chrono with Ti except the watches mentioned above (Breitling Seawolf, AMG Ingenieur, etc.). Maybe a Corum Admiral's Cup 48 (this is a big watch and has base movement Asian 7750). Alternatively, go and get a decent genuine. I would recommend this model here: Omega SMP Ti. Can be had on preowned market for less than 1500USD.
  11. Hmmm. I have at least 2 CD2007 and 3 CD2006 on my hands before. None of them has problem like what you have described. Anyway, the Slevin has chances of failure too due to faulty movement.

    Slevin w/ SSB

Seems that the repmaker really has improved the AR coating (or the tinted glass).
  13. you need either Jaxa tools with 3 pins... Or you can use sticky rubber ball or big lump of BluTack/Patafix/Rodico. It's a screw case back.
  14. Darn... You've a nice watch there... My Comex 1665 is nothing as compared to yours.
  15. This thread has raised up really good points. I stand by my previous posts. However, a few members have raised good ideas such as returning the watch after review or auctioning it for forums fund. But hey, if the collector asked you to keep the watch, why not? It's yours anyway. Pug, don't be discouraged to write more reviews (sponsored or not). PS- Off topic: Gimme more Aquatimer on bracelet and I will write an EXCELLENT review
  16. That's where the grey area is. Like having to trust EuroNCAP purchasing those cars at their own expenses and test crash them
  17. I want that 20000 Plasma TV
  18. I voted for the first one... Look much better to me.
  19. Nothing wrong with that... really. It's the same in other industries especially in IT sector. Just look at Anandtech, Tom's Hardware, etc... they are getting stuff for free (for review) and they did an excellent job reviewing these products. Well, there is a small tendency that biasness may occur. The bottom line is; you presented facts which really don't matter whether you bought the watch with your own money.
  20. Well, I feel that this watch is oversized. Definitely not for everyone. The case is based on big UTC rep.
  21. Just received a recent batch CD2006 with "new" datefont. The rotor comes with stickers too. It's really an easy fix (removing those letters) and with closed caseback, it doesn't really cause a huge concern.
  22. I would say to buy... if you really like the model. I am sure more models will be done using this technique.
  23. That's chinese movement/... maybe a DG based or a seagull with PR. Beating at 21600 bph. @chrgod: how much is it anyway?
  24. 7-9 days depending on which days you order.
  25. Well... It can also be gold coloured PVD. It looks really close to gold plating and can last much longer than stated above. A few examples: RG St Exupery and HBB Rose Gold bezel. Both hold out really well. I would not hesitate buying modern gold plated watch (in PVD). TTK talked about this on Panerai Ferrari too.
