  1. Thanks a lot Ken. Just in case anyone seen him. Have a good day ^^
  2. This is an open letter to Bigshooter. Please settle your unfinished business with us on the Dark Side. I believe I should not mention the issue here but if you have good intention, please return our PM or emails or even messages. Thank you Admin for allowing me to post it here. If you feel this is inappropriate, please move it to the correct section or delete it.
  3. No issue at all, only sharp clasp. Apparently if you have bigger wrist (7.5" or up), this should not be an issue. It's true... HBB is a benchmark in replica history. PAM Ferrari, Breitling SuperOcean Steelfish rep and Chronomat Evo is still one notch below HBB. It looks and feels like genuine watch in $4000 range.
  4. @Usil: they have already started this many years ago. I went to GZ fair 2 years ago and met with a few manufactures in China. They can make prototype drawing and what the watch will look like in just a matter of hours. Final product to your specs will be done in just days.
  5. Going for Big Bang is really good choice IMHO. SS version will be enough (no need fancy ceramic stuff, it looks great on SS). The quality of Steelfish doesn't really match HBB. Just my 2cents buddy. The decision is still yours to make.
  6. This one for today:
  7. Big Bang gets my vote too... Stainless Steel will do; ceramic is nice but paying an extra 200 USD for a different bezel is hard to justify. Happy Birthday my friend Dutchy!
  8. You may need to change/modify from back winder to stem crown winder. Perhaps you have to remove the alarm module too... It's really difficult to source off the shelf Angelus SF240 that can be fitted directly to a PAM. Be prepared to spend 1k or more for this project. Good luck!
  9. Chrono Avenger uses Ti material for Pro II bracelet. So I guess this one won't fit well on your Chrono Avenger Ti. But if you want to create a fantasy Chrono Avenger or if you have CA in SS, feel free to do so.
  10. Chrono with day date like in IWC GST is my daily choice. I use the chrono to time various things such as when to collect my laundry, etc... The day date is important as these are basic necessities to keep myself aware of time. I am spoiled by sweeping second hands too... So most quartz watches just don't make a cut anymore. The watch should be at least has 28,800 bph to ensure smooth sweeping second Hell... even my desk clock are mechanical 8 days clock. Talking about complications, adding at least 7 days power reserve, a GMT hand, alarm, perpetual calendar and moonphase won't do any harm too... Sonerie is not yet my type (maybe wait till I'm in my 40s or 50s).
  11. Indeed they are the same. I have swapped my dad's VC rep seagull ST18 with ETA2892-A2 I got from eBay... Here's the initial movement: I did not take picture of the after swap but rest assured all working and fit the same way.
  12. The above picture is definitely a genuine SMP. Correct He valve placement, datefont and placement, the pearl and bezel colour. All looks genuine to me. The genuine has those serial number on the lugs with that dirty/dark look. Same as my gen SMP.
  13. can be anything... Perhaps colour or printing.
  14. Based on picture alone, they look the same item to me... (It is listed at King's site as well).
  15. I see... If that's the case having cell phone number is certainly gonna help a lot. Good luck for the next gathering and indeed I am looking forward to see it happens.
  16. Another very useful tip is to wear some kind of clothing which are easily identifiable.
  17. Just to add my previous post... Perhaps attendance should be confirmed beforehand. Having mobile number of each others (or at least the organizer) is going to be very handy as well.
  18. Sorry for the thread hijack... Here are the pictures of genuine calf strap with buckles for comparison.
  19. My genuine has an Omega logo as opposed to He (in Planet Ocean model).
  20. The dial should be #2. Also get genuine hand sets, they are worth the mod. The second hand on the replica is way off (in terms of orange tip colour). The crown is worth changing too. This is the final picture after modification inclusive the crown. Do consider getting the genuine clasp at 90 USD. The difference between the gen and rep is quite significant (especially the locking mechanism). Please take note that the genuine crown has to be installed together with the genuine crown tube. FYI, the genuine crown tube has a smaller diameter therefore after you removed the rep crown tube, you need to attach the genuine crown tube using the strongest, best, waterproofed, tension proof glue available.
  21. I like the first one. Now reading some history behind Sinn and B&R. I know they are related somehow.
  22. Cool. Infact I just got back home. 3 members including myself turn up. We may have it again in near future Sorry no pics for the time being (privacy concern).
  23. It's a nice Chopard. Very good find guys.
  24. It seems that the finishing on genuine dial rehaut ring is more matte than the rep version.
  25. Sure. I have been wondering why the gen dial is smaller. Anyhow, I will just leave it as it is. The gap is negligible.
