  3. CHINESE NEW YEAR, FEBRUARY 7th. 2008.
  4. Think I would still be interested if it was available as a rep.
  5. Why would a company such as Breitling, aim for any similarity with any other company, with regard to style? Could it be a change of direction for marketing, and sales?
  6. Cant help feeling that this watch has distinct similarities to a few other brands?????
  7. O.K.------- IF, this is the "NEW" seconds hand , why are we not only, not seeing it from our suppliers? but not being updated with what is AVAILABLE ? Why are there no choices? Are we being supplied with all the "OLD" stock ? Just what is going on? Surely , there is someone out there , that has some idea ? Andreww was aware of this seconds hand back in October 2007. What is the standard seconds hand, for this model?
  8. Thanks for the time and trouble putting this together, I for one appreciate it. My preference is definately the stick markers, the sub numerals on the spare dial just dont cut it for me.
  9. Any ideas when the sweep second hand changed? The second pic was taken from, http://www.goldsmiths.co.uk/product.asp?cid=1&pid=4731 and cannot be bought on line , as per Breitling ad agreement.
  10. You will be amazed just how much cleaner your teeth will feel with an electric toothbrush. I have been a convert for over 2 yrs . now, and there is no way I would go back to manual. By the way , the Braun replacement heads are available on most Ebays , The last time I bought 2 dozen, at A$1.50 each. Change them at least every 3 months.

  13. Quite simple,---- Topic Title,----- Topic Description.
  14. You are driving down the road in your car on a wild, stormy night, when you pass by a bus stop and you see three people waiting for the bus: 1. An old lady who looks as if she is about to die. 2. An old friend who once saved your life. 3. The perfect partner you have been dreaming about. Which one would you choose to offer a ride to, knowing that there could only be one passenger in your car. Think before you continue reading. This is a moral/ethical dilemma that was once actually used as part of a job application. You could pick up the old lady, because she is going to die, and thus you should save her first. Or you could take the old friend because he once saved your life, and this would be the perfect chance to pay him back. However, you may never be able to find your perfect mate again. The candidate who was hired (out of 200 applicants) had no trouble coming up with his answer. He simply answered: "I would give the car keys to my old friend and let him take the lady to the hospital. I would stay behind and wait for the bus with the partner of my dreams." Sometimes, we gain more if we are able to give up our stubborn thought limitations. Never forget to "Think outside of the Box." HOWEVER.... The correct answer is to run the old lady over and put her out of her misery, have sex with the perfect partner on the hood of the car, then drive off with the old friend for a few beers. I just love happy endings.............. Am certain your answers will be hilarious.
  15. 'We love timepieces' I think , that is the plain and simple , down to earth truth that we all feel . But deep down, we still prefer quantity over quality. I could afford many gens, but with my lifestyle , it would be a waste of money. These are the true ways of the collector.
  16. Taking this one step further , From the hilarious Gunner-Gran, just what are the reasons people spend their hard earned on Reps? Style, case size, material, dial layout, hands,Make, etc. I think that, originally whoever buys what and for whatever reason, is the fact that the buyer (rep) loves the original, to the degree that they go as far as they are able ( $$$ wise ) to mod them . Is a rep buyer saying that the gens are overpriced? Or that they prefer a rep. to a gen because of the huge price difference? Very interested to hear comments.
  17. Ha,ha,ha. I really dont know at this stage, am picking one up in person.
  18. Gen.-- rep coming.
  19. Stellar , as allways. Will definately consider now. many thanks.
  20. Did you ever see the film " The Power Of One" ?
  21. Ok. thanks , aint doing this for stars V.
  22. Further more V. You have gone back over 3 months to pick a thread out on Sept 4th. 2007.(posted by Admin). I, and the majority of the other members possibly dont have the same computer skills and time, to go back however long ago to compare to what was said, and going on now. My god lady , you must have a memory like an elephant!
  23. I WAS going to rate this "good idea", Rodwc, but then I realised that would be too ironic about your thread's intent. My threads intent was to further the good cause of this forum, No underhanded tactics implied from here. I hope that I havnt mis-understood you V.
