  1. the ends are not ploished on the gens sub and seadweller. i believe the gmt master II they are though but not 100% sure.
  2. great watch! great pics too.. i really like it with that strap.
  3. be sure to do this with a drill press and hole cutter bit! dremel will f it up for sure! my vote is the radiomir. i'd scrap the dial completely and go with some 231 gold hands. make sure you make a solution to hold the hour wheel in place.......
  4. plan on spending some cake for the "perfect fiddy" get the swiss swanneck from joshua, get the A/R sapphire crystal from davidsen, also get a cannon set and hands set from davidsen, get it relumed with superlume, then find a good strap! i've got close to 600 invested on mine now......
  5. i wish it were for 47mm pams....standard 3 pin opener works fine for 44mm case but not 47mm case. thanks for the tip.
  6. modded fiddy!
  7. if you are unsure how to do this i do not suggest you practice on the ingenieur. get a few busted watches and practice them first or you will mess it up for sure.....it's easy but takes practice to do without messing up the keyless works and hands. remove the caseback, remove the stem (in date position) unscrew the movement clamps and pull the movement. now it's easy! use a hand puller to pull the hands, remove and replace the dial, reverse the process. sounds simple and it is once you get the hang of it. i suggest like i said before to buy some busted movement watches or beaters to practice on before you damage your ingy.
  8. well flaws.....the pusher screws are not functional, my bezel is very loose feeling and way too easy to turn, the bracelet has screws instead on pins, the clasp fits not as well as the gen. overall it's a great watch but won't fool anyone who handles it.
  9. too bad the kevlar is so much loot. it looks awesome!
  10. joshua and andrew i think worked together on this one. should be the same watch. both great dealers!
  11. caseback is thicker than the gen. case is thinner than the gen. equals the same thickness. but not correct. hands are the same as the gen. i may buy a genuine dial and crown....would make it an incredible rep!
  12. the minute hand is the same length as the genuine. edit: the rep hands are about 1mm shorter. who cares anyway. at least they have good lume and correct shape.
  13. feels very close but not as heavy. very very close though.
  14. just got my 6th gen PO today from joshua so as promised here is the comparison to my gen. first off service from joshua is much much better than i got from buying my gen. he is one of the best by far and has got alot of my business lately because of the way he is so willing to help out with anything you could need. first impression....it's damm good! worlds better than the famous 4th gen 42mm of yesterday. i sold my 4th gen 42mm off after a few weeks because to me it could not compare in fit and finish with the gen. the 6th gen is just superb! the bracelet finally has no huge gap between the end link and first link, and the clasp is perfect.....perfect! bezel is tight and clicks like the gen, has antimagnetic cover, and has a light AR on the sapphire. not nearly like the gen but it's an improvement. this feels exact same weight. it's also sporting a swiss eta movement 2836-2 with a heavy steel movement holder. the flaws...bezel pearl was overflowed with filler, had to shave it with a razor. looks good now but the pearl is sitting slightly off center so i would say the insert needs upgraded. the crown is a bit wobbly whan pulled out compared to the gen which is very solid. i wonder if a gen crown/tube set would fit here. the case on the gen is slightly thicker. must see side by side to know but it's a bit thicker. the finish of the crown is not quite the gen's finish but a crown is not too much $ to replace. lume on the dial is bad but typical. hands lume is strong though. the omega emblem on the dial is too big and the wrong style. josh informed me they are sorting this out and will send me a new updated dial when he gets them (service ) overall i would say you would be hard pressed to find a better watch for under $200 anywhere she's a keeper! everyone here needs to get one of these....really. it's awesome! enjoy the pics........ gen caseback rep caseback A/R shot! look mom... no gaps in the bracelet sits on wrist like gen.. genuine omega 2500 movement (ETA 2892 modified with coaxial escapement) genuine antimagnetic cover rep antimagnetic cover pearl misaligned
  15. nice work randy! be sure to scuff it up a bit and make the case and crystal look old
  16. it's a really cool watch! i had one i sold to dutchy. the bracelet is nice and the movement is impressive for the $$ it's cool if you like the look you will love it.
  17. looks amazing! nice job randy
  18. the rep strap that comes on these can actually be quite good! i keep buying straps then going back to the original as i like it the best! just bend it up and stretch it out fold it at the end creased and roll it all the way down creasing the whole strap this will "break it in" and make it softer. then the most important step is rub on a very thick coat of mink oil and let it sit for a few hours. rub off the mink oil and you have a really nice strap that is butter soft like the gen and looks/feels like a very expensive strap! also i have listed in the sale section a europelli shell cordovan black with titanium stich i ordered for mine and looks awesome but i keep the original on now.
  19. i second that.. hopefully it's the lighting but looks rep.
  20. just hang a big clock from your neck.....it's cool!
  21. i would put "watch for repair" or small crystal" or something along those lines.
  22. i think the case is so thick that a nato strap would look out of place.
  23. i too just got the e-mail from eddie murphy on this one......WOW! i have to wait to get my patek jumbo from watchmaster... then i have to have this one.......
  24. that's a really cool effect. you have great taste in straps! what is the black gator in the second pic?
  25. can't seen to get the bezel off my turnograph! any ideas?
