I want to drill case holes in a modern GMT watch case. Can it be done and look correct?
-
Can some one CC me on that pm. A WM piece would look good in my watch case but I do not know how to contact Watchmaster either.

"""""Dear friends, The site is still under construction. I am still in the midst of loading the pics and specs into the site. Please continue to browse my photo album for watches not loaded in yet. Please do not attempt to purchase via the web. There is no payment processor yet. The prices quoted does not includes shipping. Please contact admin@perfect-clones.com for more details and purchase procedures. Thanks"""" Joshua It says this on the front page. Email him to place the order, it is an easy mistake to make, especially when we are excited to make a purchase.

I have a couple of very nice vintage watches, a 1966 321 speedmaster and a 1967 autavia. Both are well repsected among the WIS community and between the cost of the watches and the cost of having them restored they have had a tidy sum invested in each and both look almost new. To get the point, because I wear these watches, no one has even thought about questioning the llucky 1680 sub that looks new that I always wear. Or even the New GMT II that I recently started wearing. They look perfect to every one but the nitpicking bastards (said with lov guys) on this site. But if I wear the Pam 27 and show my coworker that wears a 112, He will see that it is a fake instantly. Then I am afraid that he will doubt my genuine watches. So that makes me feel like a schmuck .

Davidsen dial and hands, and recessed hand upgrade review.

I got my info from a post in the Time Zone Omega forum. My 1966 Speedmaster has a tritium dial, and when I asked for some info I got smacked about the head and shoulders with all the info I could have wanted about tritium and its use in watches by the avid vintage collectors i.e. WIS on that forum. I probably sounded smarter than I am on the subject, but I didn't verify all of the info that was spouted to me either. So it may have been wrong and that is why I was seeing if any one had any info to the contrary. I will see if I can find the original thread but it was posted some time back. -
I wear My "vintage" 1680 white sub on a nato strap, so the serial numbers can be seen because of this. Seeing them adds the next level of authenticy to me. On Rollies, as long as the letter or first two #'s correspond with the year or era the watch is supposed to come from I could care less about the rest of the serial numbers. No idea on how it works with Pams though.

If I am wrong please tell me, Half life is 12.3 years. But at 12 years, even though still radioactive, tritium does not emit enough particles to be seen glowing by the naked human eye, or so I thought. So at 7-8 years wouldn't tritum have only 30%-40% of it's inital glow? (unless the phosphors that were probably used in the tritium paint are recharged by a light source that is.) again if I am wrong I apologize. -

I don't like to post very often because I think most of the questions I have are probably stupid and I can ususally find the answers by using the mythical "search" button. But since I am shortly going to pull the trigger on on of the 029 I do have a question........ Wouldn't a person NOT WANT the dial to be super luminous as it is supposed to be a Tritium dial on a 7-8 year old watch? The Tritium should be spent by this time in it's life span and not very bright at all correct? -
What Non-PAM, Non-rolex, Non-IWC rep do you want made?
speedy1 replied to archibald's topic in General Discussion
OH hell YES it would!!!! I would like a non vintaged version because the "vintage dials" always look like they were colored with a yellow highlighter instead of a nice patina. -
That was effin funny!

I Love the handle!! Stag is it? My favorite knife is a hunter made for me be JC Shalibrant in Northern Oklahoma. It is made from a huge drop tine and a lawnmower blade (can you believe it?) I love hand made knives.

Out of the two reps I have purchased this year (1680 non red submariner fron lucky and an Omega PO. The sub, well NO ONE can tell it is a rep, I have no problems wearing into any store because it gets nothing but compliments. The PO however looks very nice, but is just OFF some how from the gen, the color is just slightly wron or size, or placement of this or that , I can't tell but it looks off (though it looks nice). I think poeple can tell it is fake and KNOW watch store people can tell by the smirks on their faces.

WHAT ABOUT THE pp I JUST SENT?!?!?!? HOW DOES IT AFFECT THAT!!!!!
-
I aquired this one quite recently.
-
This looks like a damn close rep to me. Does anyone have one and how does it stand up to the gen. I am venturing out from my omegas and am trying to find my first purchase.
-
who has one?!?!?!?
-
A and B series had polished bezels with no markers. And only the very last of the B series subs had ar coat either. I believe only all polished was available on the b series. but neither had the rings around the minute markers

Need ideas for a watch to be handed down...

My father left me his 1680 Submariner (the red dial was replaced years ago unfortnately) when he passed. -
phook that! I am afraid of hieghts and it would be hard form me to play tennis while I am craping my pants.
-
HKTAN seems to have the best outlook on it. Basically, if you can afford his straps, he doesn't care if you use it on a rep or wear it as a c0ck ring. The money all goes in his pocket no matter where it comes from.
-
Mine only made it on my keyboard dammit! But that is a fugly watch IMHO. However, I do respect the fact that if you owned one, very few if any other people would have one too.
