I don't like gold but prefer SS, I find complications interesting but rarely aesthetically appealing. Right now I'd say my grail would be a Sea Dweller 16600 or a Speedy Moon watch (both of which I will buy one day). I have several answers for historical watches, but for a modern, off-the-shelf gen, it'd probably be some cheap Seiko. I'd never seen one of these before and wondered if they were in the new Argos catologue......they were n't .....then I found out the price :shock: Can I go halves with you Pugwash. I like chronographs, so it would have to be a chronograph. I sometimes swim or waterski, so it would have to be heavily water-resistant. I prefer SS to other metals. But as you can allway dream my first purchase would probably go for some expetional piece, with very unusal way to display the time, but fully mechanical. Those independent turbines are a horological masterpiece. I had always thought I would want the Freak but actually tried one on and subsequently lost interest. Something that I would treat like a treasure. But if I had to choose one gen to wear, I would choose the watch I already own... GMT 16710. My dream watch since I was 13 years old.
