mastrmindalliance
Hi! Great thread! While on hols I tried on the gen of this and really liked it. It's actually pretty reasonably priced for Breitling so I'm considering buying the gen. Before I do though, I want to make sure it's for me, so I'm going to buy a rep... I mailed Josh with this question, but with the language barrier couldn't properly understand the answer, having read this thread previously (again, great thread, thanks!) figure its probably the right thread to ask in. I understand the V1 was Silix made, so is this one from Josh the V2 or something else entirely? SOH at PC It's seems to share some features of the v2, but just wanted to check that it isn't perhaps ike the cartel v1? I don't really want the chrono version of this watch (which is labelled v2), and would definitely go for the ETA upgrade at only fifty bucks. If it isn't the actual v2 what do you guys think of this one? Thanks for any help offered! Dan.
Bike Mike
If you are buying the rep to decide on owning a gen, does it really matter if it is a V1, V2, V3
krpster
Looks like a V2. Generally speaking I would have to agree with Bike Mike if you are only looking for a test drive prior to pulling the trigger on the gen. However, if you want the full effect go for the V2...after that you may decide it isn't worth doing the gen
mastrmindalliance
Thanks Guys, If it isn't the v2 proper it certainly does share some of the features. The reason for getting the better version for the test drive is simply that if I'm going to spend a couple hundred bucks on a rep, I may as well get the best on offer... If you were shopping for something in the real world, and you found two products with negligible price difference, you'd pick the better quality product wouldn't you? Cheers. For quality yes, I along with most would spend the extra money. Quality is some thing that is value added IMO. The V2 simply has corrections done to make it more realistic to the Gen, these corrections do not increase quality, they just make it
mastrmindalliance
Just came to give this heads up on this, but I was referring to the replication quality, not build quality. Anyway, looks like they've repped the strap (no prices or deets yet), so I'll be holding off for a couple days. SOH Strap at Josh's

jeff g
After re reading this thread this morning I went to my watch box, and switched from my Vintage Seamaster Pro to my Heritage on the OR strap. It is such a beautiful piece. Thanks for the inspiration.
Bike Mike
It is a lot finer of a mesh then the Gen. Like to see how it is adjustable as the gen as actual screw in links that remove. This does not appear to work like that.
Flashman
What a great comparison. I will have to add this one to my list...
mastrmindalliance
I couldn't hold out any longer... Have just ordered the SOH and the new rep mesh strap. Will take some good pics of it once I have it.
lgking
I was viewing the site of a watch company (Orange) and came upon the following... Welcome to Orange Watch Company Automatic MovementOWC have been very careful in the choice of movement. ETA publicly stated that they will no longer supply to those outside of the Swatch Group. This means it will be practically IMPOSSIBLE for small bespoke makers (in fact anyone not in the Swatch Group) to buy legal ETA mechanical movements. The conclusions are obvious. As anyone who is considering the purchase of the SOH (such a beautiful watch) from dealers like Perfect Clones who offer a 'Swiss ETA' for an up-charge of US$50.00...how does this work, how are the dealers claiming to offer real 'Swiss' ETA in these times, or at the end of the day are they just shipping Asian copies...? http://www.perfect-hour.com/blsf10001-superocean-heritage-ssle-black-asian-28242-p-4659.html
Member X
This watch has, somehow, completely passed me by until I saw a wristy today - and now I want one... lol This post is perfect for helping determine what those of us with less Breitling knowledge than others need to be looking for when we buy! Thank you for taking the time to compile it, it's very much appreciated!

bingoofsweden
krpster you made my choice of what to get next really easy, for that I would like to thank you. It's going to be a Super Ocean Heritage V2 Question: Anyone know if the "Diver Pro II" strap is available at rep-dealer? And which dealer has the V2 version, best rep? Thanks again for a great review
ta8088
What a great comparision of the two versions. I'm still stumped trying to figure out what mine is. Seems to be a mix of both. V2 case and dial. V1 crown and bezel.

Seems to be a mix of both. V2 case and dial. V1 crown and bezel. Post up a pic and I'll tell you. Sounds like you probably have a V3. Working on a revision to the review to include the V3.
