MasterOfPuppets Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 Beautiful! Thx for sharing, the car is kinda ugly though! i dont like these models
ubiquitous Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 Very clever ad spot indeed! A shame there are no U.S. Tudor ADs, though
Ronin Posted April 22, 2010 Author Report Posted April 22, 2010 Just noticed @24 seconds in there is a Cyclops over the date, but then disappears. Last minute design change?
ubiquitous Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 Interesting. A freeze at :24 looks almost like the vintage that was displayed with the new Heritage at Basel; crown seems to have the usual Triplock 'teeth' instead of the knurling on the new style crown, and the orange timer section is at 3:00 instead of 9:00 as on the new model... Perhaps a quick throwback to pay hommage to the original?

Katerchen Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 @ronin id say advertising at its BEST!! Nice spot... George
marc jacobs Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 Thank for sharing, I love this ads so much. (include the car and watch)
jmb Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 Just as cool as the watch! I'm s'prised Ubi hasn't built one yet!
Katerchen Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 Just as cool as the watch! I'm s'prised Ubi hasn't built one yet! LOL yes... you mean the CAR or the REP?? wait... maybe the car is a kit-car rep too
freddy333 Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 Very effective ad. Hard to tell, but the car looks like it might be either a McLaren or Porsche? In any case, while the watch is nice, I would expect something a bit higher end to match the car.
Katerchen Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 In any case, while the watch is nice, I would expect something a bit higher end to match the car. hmm... now that you mention it... i see... you are RIGHT!! Spot couldve been 100% "perfect" if anything is left as is with only exception the watch to be a PATEK lol George
ScottishJackal Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 They have a very cool screensaver of the watch and car http://www.tudorwatch.com/
LeSentier Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 Guys, on Tuesday I placed a pre-order for the new Heritage Chrono at my favourite Watchdealer Can't await my baby to arrive, but this could also be in August ...
lhooq Posted April 23, 2010 Report Posted April 23, 2010 The car is a 906, which is one of my all-time favorite Porsches. (I think a 904 would have been a better match to the watch, though.) Joerg, has the price of the Chrono been confirmed?
LeSentier Posted April 23, 2010 Report Posted April 23, 2010 Not yet, but guessing it will be between 2.9k - 3.3k. The price list says 4.000 chf... Also waiting for the discount to be confirmed :-)
lhooq Posted April 23, 2010 Report Posted April 23, 2010 That's a price range I can afford, if I start saving! Those bastards...
Ronin Posted April 23, 2010 Author Report Posted April 23, 2010 I have to say, I have come around on the bezel design on this. I really like it now. Does anyone know if there this will be available in the USA? The only listing on the Tudor site if for Rolex USA in New York: address: 665 Fifth Avenue New York 10022 United States tel: +1 212 758 7700
ubiquitous Posted April 23, 2010 Report Posted April 23, 2010 Does anyone know if there this will be available in the USA? The only listing on the Tudor site if for Rolex USA in New York... P- I've been discussing with some folks, and supposedly, there is a plan to start reintroducing the Tudor line in the U.S. starting with the Heritage Chrono. Might be a year or so before we start seeing it come in, however... Think I may swing by the local AD to see if they've rec'd communication on any such news, and if so, possibly start working on getting my name on the list...
gplracer Posted April 23, 2010 Report Posted April 23, 2010 LHOOQ good call on the car This watch is the most exciting gen release that I have seen in years. What is the list price going to be? No U.S. dealers? That is a major bummer!
HauteHippie Posted April 23, 2010 Report Posted April 23, 2010 Very effective ad. Hard to tell, but the car looks like it might be either a McLaren or Porsche? In any case, while the watch is nice, I would expect something a bit higher end to match the car. If the watch in the ad were a Citizen, I'd find it being a bit off. In this case, no. It's good marketing, IMO.
ubiquitous Posted April 23, 2010 Report Posted April 23, 2010 If the watch in the ad were a Citizen, I'd find it being a bit off. In this case, no. It's good marketing, IMO. Agree. The theme for the Heritage is correlated with Motorsports, and I'd interpret both subjects as being aimed more towards the connoisseurs...
