gran
Sad that the old genius is dead. He will be missed. Excentric yes. Loved money yes..but he also loved watches

chrgod
That was sad news. One of the few great profiles of the watch industry. I remember his quote that he had to wear a watch from each brand in the Swatch-conglomerate, as he did not want to discriminate anyone.. georgegrasser
Caring for others is important. I am a man of limited means, but a Master at Chess. So I can and have given of myself by giving free chess lessons. I'm sure Mr.Hayek would never have given me a free watch. I asked Jean Claude Biver for a free Hublot and never received a response. I can only feel sympathy for those who would feel sympathy for me. Great Humanity is severly lacking in this world. I will not weep for the wealthy. crystalcranium
Oh my...very surprising. I loved the way he loved and cherished Breuget and made certain that brand returned to its greatness. RIP

KB
One thing Mr. Hayek had over most of us, he lived his dream. Great man, so sad passing. Ken
Guest Carl
It is sad news indeed. There was an excellent article about him in the last Wall Street Journal Magazine, a week or two ago. A true friend of watch makers and of watch owners. A visionary, I think. Carl
