Guest Sql_pl Posted April 12, 2011 Report Posted April 12, 2011 I was wondering how many V72, V23 or DW "MysteryMovement" powered vintage Daytonas we may have on this board. Let's get some eyecandy for this thread. Will start with my V72, I absolutely love it! Please post your pieces guys!
wiesn089 Posted April 12, 2011 Report Posted April 12, 2011 Here's my V726 6265. Dial closeup, I just love my sigma.
praetor Posted April 12, 2011 Report Posted April 12, 2011 wies: is the subdial in your daytona silver or white? it looks sooo good.
wiesn089 Posted April 12, 2011 Report Posted April 12, 2011 Whitish. I guess they started out white but have aged nicely to a very, very light ivory in the past 35+ years.

polexpete Posted April 14, 2011 Report Posted April 14, 2011 Fantastic, Pete. Whatever happened to the refinished gen dial you had some time ago? Thanks mate, i sold it. Had too many flaws, notably the 4 in the subdial and the T Swiss T was way too big. I want to build a 6239 like dluddys next... Cheers P.
Rolexaddict Posted April 14, 2011 Report Posted April 14, 2011 how much frozen hour's sub-dial pics here ? owners should put name and date on the pics
polexpete Posted April 15, 2011 Report Posted April 15, 2011 owners should put name and date on the pics Err why...? no one selling and we all legit members... P.
lhooq Posted April 15, 2011 Report Posted April 15, 2011 Had too many flaws, notably the 4 in the subdial and the T Swiss T was way too big. Shame about that one. I'd heard nothing but good things about Kirk Rich, but when I saw your subdials... Well, the Big Red you have in the pictures looks good!
polexpete Posted April 15, 2011 Report Posted April 15, 2011 Shame about that one. I'd heard nothing but good things about Kirk Rich, but when I saw your subdials... Well, the Big Red you have in the pictures looks good! Yeah probably should have sent it back, but i got a good offer and i had this dial which seem pretty good so.... voila Gotta source a good 6239 dial now, any ideas? Cheers P.
