chiman12 Posted May 31, 2011 Report Posted May 31, 2011 I recently decided to try a dealer that I've used in the past. I asked him to source me a good sub and yachmaster case set for projects of mine. Here are the case sets that I received, the other parts are incoming... Yachmaster...imo...maybe more accurate than WM9..but then again I'm not a Yactmaster expert and basing it on gen pics Submariner 16610...rehaut nice and straight...no stir fry going on here! Needless to say that I'm very impressed with the cases and can't wait to receive the bracelets, dial, and hand set. The kicker...these cases fit gen movements, just like a WM9 I think I'll be going back to him very often now...don't know why I stopped in the first place! What are you thoughts everyone?
asf Posted May 31, 2011 Report Posted May 31, 2011 im not expert but it looks nice! Is the pearl on the insert correct though?
Guest zeleni kukuruz Posted May 31, 2011 Report Posted May 31, 2011 Yes this cases looks very very nice, the cg on the sub looks amazing! Very nice find Care ti share where and price? Does he have also dials, movement, hands and bracelets?
mjmj Posted May 31, 2011 Report Posted May 31, 2011 Yes this cases looks very very nice, the cg on the sub looks amazing! Very nice find Care ti share where and price? Does he have also dials, movement, hands and bracelets? +1. Please share
sneed12 Posted May 31, 2011 Report Posted May 31, 2011 That Sub case looks nice... but if it fits a gen movement, it probably won't fit a 2836. Stem heights are too different I think.
2671 Posted May 31, 2011 Report Posted May 31, 2011 These are nice! Gen movements means 2892 & 2824 will fit. Care to share the dealer's contact info? Thanks.
Guest zeleni kukuruz Posted May 31, 2011 Report Posted May 31, 2011 Imagen if he could source a sub case with lugholes that would be x-mas all over again
jasf2002 Posted May 31, 2011 Report Posted May 31, 2011 Hi - is the bezel construction like gen and the dimensions? + 1 care to share the dealer? They do look pretty good though
woof* Posted May 31, 2011 Report Posted May 31, 2011 Hi - is the bezel construction like gen and the dimensions? + 1 care to share the dealer? They do look pretty good though This! Bezel construction genlike?
Guest zeleni kukuruz Posted May 31, 2011 Report Posted May 31, 2011 Chiman spell it! I wish you could get back to us
chiman12 Posted June 1, 2011 Author Report Posted June 1, 2011 More pics... Bezel assembly...gen like...yes/no??? Inside of the case... Guys, I'm just waiting a response from the dealer if I'm okay to release his name. I'm not being a pr*ck...honestly...he is not a trusted dealer...but I've never had a problem with him!
george84 Posted June 1, 2011 Report Posted June 1, 2011 sub case looks great, you will need to replace that insert tho.
woof* Posted June 1, 2011 Report Posted June 1, 2011 Awesome Chi! Let us know when you can! That sub case would look good on me.
2671 Posted June 1, 2011 Report Posted June 1, 2011 Other than the wrong style crowns (tall coronets) on both cases these are indeed gen constucted. (Judging by the high crown position on the YM, gen movement slot/arc for Rolex movement on the Sub) I want to order both from your dealer, thanks for the great pics and help ChiMan! What about the other parts? Dial, band and hands, happen to get'em yet?
cib0rgman Posted June 1, 2011 Report Posted June 1, 2011 Hurry up please and let us know who is this guy, he is going to run out of stock if the cases are as good a they look.
2671 Posted June 1, 2011 Report Posted June 1, 2011 +1 Dats what I worry too! These are TW cases so they are limited in supply... Hurry up please and let us know who is this guy, he is going to run out of stock if the cases are as good a they look.
highoeyazmuhudee Posted June 1, 2011 Report Posted June 1, 2011 looks good, but that case back looks incorrect, would love to see a dial mounted to truly gauge the slope of the rehaut. the area for the caseback gasket looks a little wide? can you confirm a gen or non OEM would fit?
Eiderdaus Posted June 1, 2011 Report Posted June 1, 2011 seeing those new pictures i wouldn´t be suprised when the sn would be M550718
highoeyazmuhudee Posted June 1, 2011 Report Posted June 1, 2011 i have a few guesses where i believe its from, this is kind of fun actually. possibilities that come to mind: Ts******** Ho******* et****** all have been known to carry or currently carry 1:1 taiwan subs, one even w/o a rehaut engraving yet it has an M serial and all are not "trusted" dealers on rwg
jasf2002 Posted June 1, 2011 Report Posted June 1, 2011 Certainly gen like construction but need to try a gen sized insert in there. The case threads for the case back look badly done or is it the photo. Agree with highoeyazmuhudee that would need to see with a dial to gauge. Would also be useful to know if the crown tube will take a gen crown. Also it's just a case so need to find a movement ring, date wheel overlay, dial, hands and obviously a movement then stick it all together. The big issue there being a decent dial cause a noob will probably be a bit small. What was the cost of the sub case?

What was the cost of the sub case? whats so different now to the other projects ? and why should a noob dial a bit too small ? Did you received the inner case diameter already ?
