I think I found a WM9 substitute for a Yachmaster and sub!

I recently decided to try a dealer that I've used in the past. I asked him to source me a good sub and yachmaster case set for projects of mine. Here are the case sets that I received, the other parts are incoming...

Yachmaster...imo...maybe more accurate than WM9..but then again I'm not a Yactmaster expert and basing it on gen pics

Submariner 16610...rehaut nice and straight...no stir fry going on here!

Needless to say that I'm very impressed with the cases and can't wait to receive the bracelets, dial, and hand set.

The kicker...these cases fit gen movements, just like a WM9

I think I'll be going back to him very often now...don't know why I stopped in the first place!

What are you thoughts everyone?

Guys, I'm just waiting a response from the dealer if I'm okay to release his name. I'm not being a pr*ck...honestly...he is not a trusted dealer...but I've never had a problem with him!

Other than the wrong style crowns (tall coronets) on both cases these are indeed gen constucted. (Judging by the high crown position on the YM, gen movement slot/arc for Rolex movement on the Sub) I want to order both from your dealer, thanks for the great pics and help ChiMan! What about the other parts? Dial, band and hands, happen to get'em yet?

i have a few guesses where i believe its from,

this is kind of fun actually.

possibilities that come to mind:

Ts********

Ho*******

et******

all have been known to carry or currently carry 1:1 taiwan subs, one even w/o a rehaut engraving yet it has an M serial ;) and all are not "trusted" dealers on rwg

Certainly gen like construction but need to try a gen sized insert in there. The case threads for the case back look badly done or is it the photo. Agree with highoeyazmuhudee that would need to see with a dial to gauge. Would also be useful to know if the crown tube will take a gen crown. Also it's just a case so need to find a movement ring, date wheel overlay, dial, hands and obviously a movement then stick it all together. The big issue there being a decent dial cause a noob will probably be a bit small.

What was the cost of the sub case?

whats so different now to the other projects ?:D and why should a noob dial a bit too small ? Did you received the inner case diameter already ?
