andreww Posted June 3, 2011 Report Posted June 3, 2011 (edited) This one looks extremely cool! Uploaded with ImageShack.us Uploaded with ImageShack.us Here's the gen for comparison Edited June 3, 2011 by andreww
chrgod Posted June 3, 2011 Report Posted June 3, 2011 Thats a nice one.. I have seen some decent reps of this model before, however this one looks a cut above. The Porsche Design watches are kind of "sleepers" in the rep world, good replicas but not that popular.
andreww Posted June 3, 2011 Author Report Posted June 3, 2011 Looks like some kind of 7750? Uploaded with ImageShack.us

gran Posted June 3, 2011 Report Posted June 3, 2011 Looks like some kind of 7750? Uploaded with ImageShack.us Close its a GMT version of the Asian a07.111 (= 37mm diametre valgrange-like movement)
subbiesrock Posted June 3, 2011 Report Posted June 3, 2011 That looks fantastic! What a minimalist design, yet with so much information discreetly handled by the dial. Great work.
gran Posted June 3, 2011 Report Posted June 3, 2011 QC must be pretty good too...RIO is spelled correctly (I guess we all remember R10...and Lonon )
KB Posted June 3, 2011 Report Posted June 3, 2011 Ok maybe I'm stupid but can someone tell me how the timezone feature works? Ken
andreww Posted June 3, 2011 Author Report Posted June 3, 2011 You set the city at 3:00 and read the time at the 9:00 window. Pretty simple really.
KB Posted June 3, 2011 Report Posted June 3, 2011 Told you I was stupid, I thought that was a day reading at 3. Cool watch Ken
Samurai Posted June 3, 2011 Report Posted June 3, 2011 Looks very good. I can't seem to access Josh's site, not even with proxy servers :-(
CPSNine Posted June 3, 2011 Report Posted June 3, 2011 Wow, very interesting watch. it is nice to see something a little bit different. The time zone feature is nice.
gran Posted June 3, 2011 Report Posted June 3, 2011 Now the only problem is the matching colour car....
andreww Posted June 3, 2011 Author Report Posted June 3, 2011 Now the only problem is the matching colour car.... Oh, I've already got the right color paint, its just on the wrong car

ExtraExtra Posted June 3, 2011 Report Posted June 3, 2011 Andreww. What does your eagle eye say about the accuracy of this rep?
Dave123 Posted June 3, 2011 Report Posted June 3, 2011 I think this might be very popular. What a cool timezone setup! No Canadian cities though Meh,they consider Canada a part of New York...
subbiesrock Posted June 3, 2011 Report Posted June 3, 2011 Andreww. What does your eagle eye say about the accuracy of this rep? He shape of the lugs where they join to the case is completely wrong, but the watch itself is pretty sweet!
andreww Posted June 3, 2011 Author Report Posted June 3, 2011 Hands are wrong Yeah but thats a doctored "Porsche promo shot" This one seems to have the same hands as the rep. Went to the AD and saw the PVD version (not as nice) and didn't think to check the hands.
andreww Posted June 3, 2011 Author Report Posted June 3, 2011 Andreww. What does your eagle eye say about the accuracy of this rep? Aside from the hands (which are probably correct) the only thing that I can see is the tick marks on the insert should go all the way to the top of the insert. On the rep they end just before the top of the insert. Thats a common issue on Breitling inserts but is more noticeable when the should run right to the bottom edge of the insert and touch the markings on the dial.
slickdick Posted June 3, 2011 Report Posted June 3, 2011 (edited) Another thing which imo is more obvious, the timezone dial cut-out on the crown side doesn't match the gen; ie it is smaller on the rep. Edited June 3, 2011 by slickdick
gran Posted June 3, 2011 Report Posted June 3, 2011 So it is a rep afterall...and being this good I guess there will be no improved vesrion of this one It will be interesting to see what kind of GMT setup this one has as the genuine movemnt has an add on The core of the P6750 Worldtimer is represented by the Caliber 6037 GMT mechanism based on the ETA Valgranges A 07 111 (CR) supplied by Eterna
mbjoer Posted June 3, 2011 Report Posted June 3, 2011 On the older Rep version the time and the place were set separately. I wonder if they have found a way of replicating the Gen so that they set in one operation.
gran Posted June 3, 2011 Report Posted June 3, 2011 On the older Rep version the time and the place were set separately. Wouldnt that be partly needed anyhow? (considering that the time of day might differ +\- 1 hour between summer and winter)
