I use Drano Power gel. (kann man in jeden Supermarkt kaufen)

But don't put it in longer than 1 minute at the time. Than wash it of and (this is very important) whipe it of. Start all over again till you have the color you want. Than finish it of with a cape cod polish.

No, should work but it depends on its concentration I guess.

I tried all sorts of bleaches and got nowhere.

I discovered generic Drano drain cleaner works well. It can be diluted with water.

Also keep in mind that each insert react differently, for instance an MBW insert will change slower than a cartel.

You gotta keep your eye on them and pull and rinse and repeat till you get the desired effect.

@ZK - normal "Klorin" works perfect for bleaching insert. No need to dilute, just don't leave it in too long.

Maybe better to test with aftermarkets inserts before I guess ;)

Ouch! 15 minutes after I wrote this the insert was WHITE! Damn, that's really hard to control...

Cillit bang for 3-4 min before bleaching could help. It worked for mined wich did not react only with bleach...

Vintage dive watches. exposed to sun, salt water, and depth have faded bezel paint to varying degrees. If you are trying to reproduce the look of a 50 year old Submariner 1680, which was not a "safe queen" over it's life, then you want to add a bit of artificial aging. Look at my 1680 just below these words. A little bit of beige coloring on the dial, hands and pearl, and medium fading on the bezel insert.
