How accurate is the AP Diver V2?

Hi guys,

I am new to reps and have been collecting gens for a long long time. Still I have been amazed by the quality of the reps, especially since a colleague showed me a rep Pam 029 and, quality-wise, I could not find a difference with my gen 164 (apart from the movement). I ordered one because I could not help myself thinking about getting 95% of the watch for 5% of the cost... No idea what I will do (keep it or not) but I needed to test drive it myself.

Now I got hooked with the AP diver. How good is it (accuracy-wise). Case, Face, Font, etc.etc. Is it as close to the gen as the Pam 029?

Many thanks in advance for your help and Merry Christmas!

As I understand it, the inner bezel is NOT screw down.

That would give it away as a useless diving watch to any diver.

Other flaws are for the members here to spot, that one everybody can identify.

Ermmm. The inner rotating bezel crown IS screwdown, BTW. :)

I look at it as a damn good rep with the right case proportions however IMHO the two key flaws are the date section and the inner bezel being unlumed. The date section is certainly liveable as projectologist says but the inner bezel unlumed is a fatal flaw. If you ever run into another one during the day, getting on an elevator, whatever it will be painfully obvious. So my take is great rep but if you are ever worried about running into someone who knows the watch then go with a relume including the inner bezel. The markers and hands could use a relume as well.

That is great to hear. It has been reported elsewhere not to be the case.

In that case I would really consider it for myself!!

Where did you get this information if I may ask?

Angus at Puretime has confirmed there will be a new v3 diver, that'll be 1:1, and will be "like a new watch" compared to the v2. Within the timespan of 2-3 months.

My guess is: superlumed (also inner bezel), some smaller detail changes and AR.
