JoeyB Posted September 11, 2012 Report Posted September 11, 2012 That is true, it is not as sharp as the autocad.
highoeyazmuhudee Posted September 11, 2012 Report Posted September 11, 2012 i have also started an ETA version based on your jpg rolo. probably not as crisp since its a raster, will share when done later today
dieselpower Posted September 11, 2012 Report Posted September 11, 2012 Jeez, you guys. All this computer speak is making my head spin. Anybody remember the Sinclair ZX81?
highoeyazmuhudee Posted September 12, 2012 Report Posted September 12, 2012 i spent 4 hours reversing and cleaning up the numbers. hows this looking? low quality laser draft im thinking in between waiting for my cases to get sorted out; i ll attempt to make cheap, high quality , professionally made over lays for the people of this forum, we deserve it. if rolo can come up with a vector based ETA version that would be ideal in maintaining crispness, thanks for the high quality image none the less
mjmj Posted September 12, 2012 Report Posted September 12, 2012 H, looks very promising.. It is nicely centred in the dw.
rolojack Posted September 13, 2012 Report Posted September 13, 2012 I'm glad I gave you guys my file !!! I'll try to do that next week and get back to you.
FxrAndy Posted September 17, 2012 Author Report Posted September 17, 2012 here is a vectorised version
cyphion Posted September 17, 2012 Report Posted September 17, 2012 That looks great in vector format Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
tomhorn Posted September 17, 2012 Report Posted September 17, 2012 Just finished a 16014 franken ... and already I'm going to have to upgrade. Excellent work all. I'm in for a couple if the project comes together.
highoeyazmuhudee Posted September 18, 2012 Report Posted September 18, 2012 i reversed rolo's, feel free to use, i wasnt sure if he was making one in autocad for eta, but if he does it *might* be better. print at 22.74mm square
Ephry73 Posted September 18, 2012 Report Posted September 18, 2012 Nice, very nice. HH how are the dials working out?
rolojack Posted September 18, 2012 Report Posted September 18, 2012 Great !!!! It looks like I don't have to redo it after all.... Good job !
Tonyyammine Posted January 1, 2013 Report Posted January 1, 2013 Did anyone make the flatop in silver? I would like some.
If you see Kay Posted January 5, 2013 Report Posted January 5, 2013 I too have a eta corrected dwo but never found a print shop to make them up. It is not as good as the ones here, but it is a flat top 3 and open 6 and 9. If anyone can find a print ship to make these, they'd be a hot sell.

the_rymeister Posted January 5, 2013 Report Posted January 5, 2013 Can RA print off the red and black numbered dwo's? Thinking of starting a 6542 white pan am or a pcg white pan am:)
JoeyB Posted January 5, 2013 Report Posted January 5, 2013 This thread may help. http://www.rwgforum.net/topic/150660-vintage-dwos/page-2 I did the red/black on the one that was posted. It can be downloaded, sized and printed using your photo program.
grifter Posted January 28, 2013 Report Posted January 28, 2013 Another question: how thick can the dwo be, before it will interfere with the dial? standard dwo's from the cartel are .004 inches thick. I found a good metalic card stock that is .008 inches thick. Does anyone know if this will work, or is it too thick?
Martyd3 Posted January 29, 2013 Report Posted January 29, 2013 I'm in for a few of these and would contribute to fund the project. I may even have someone that can print them. Please shoot me a PM.
jerkstore Posted May 1, 2013 Report Posted May 1, 2013 I printed out a vintage overlay and installed it in my new 16014 datejust franken. I'm still not in love with the sharpness of the text--my photo printer is 8 years old. But you have to get close up to notice any rough edges. As of now, I'm using Epson matte presentation paper; it's very thin , but the print isn't raised . I will try some white decal paper next. The other issue I have is that the size isn't quite right just yet. Resizing the wheel and aligning it to the window is a real headache without dial feet. Maybe six of the dates are off a bit. But the font is so large on my wheel that its easy to see. Finally, please post if you have a clear open 6 and 9 overlay for the 3035 movement (with the ETA ordering).
