Cucumber_Jones
Ick - no need for a panerai smaller then a 44.
tvt
A small Panerai is to miss the point. Even the gen 40mm are a joke that NO ONE buys save for a few woman. Panerai is all about being big, if you don't like that look then fine, but Panerai is not for you then. It would be like asking for a Porsche pick up trick or something... it just doesn't work that way.

ubiquitous
44mm really wears quite nicely on the wrist. I'm used to wearing 40mm, but 44mm doesn't seem too out of place when I decide to give mine some wrist time...
Cucumber_Jones
When you wear a 47mm 187 for a week putting on a 44 feels tiny.

crick0234
my wrist is 5.75 inches - I blame genetics on that one! I wear a 40 mm pannie and it fits great. It looks great. I can wear 42's as well, but 44 looked just a tad big. If your wrist is anywhere near or below 6, then a 40 will wear nicely. For now, i will doubt your wrist is as small as mine, so i'm guessing a 44 will fit you just fine! i'm waiting for someone to post a cheapo used 44 to buy just to try on. I tried a 44 on at an AD and it looked big. Even the dealer said it was too big for me. if you want to get a feel for it and there's no AD's around, you can check some similiar looking fashion ones like... er... diesel Edited November 16, 2006 by crick0234

To feel comfortable on smaller wrists or on any wrist, a slim case pancake profile design that lays flatter on the wrist will make up for its size. Its an optical illusion but really does work. The rep. IWC FA Jones is a perfect example, they are very thin proportionally to the diameter, 12mm X 42mm but for some reason will look more appropriate on your small wrist than a Panerai Regatta at 40mm X 12.5mm. Try that one, its not that expensive and a very classy design.

It looks fine at most angles but a side on view you can see it just... sitting on my arm. Flattness may help, but for me it tends to be the lugs that seems to overshoot my wrist. with a thick strap, they tend to look better. Thanks for the suggesto! i will go check out what you said! Flatness does help even with lugs at the ends of the wrist, check this out, lugs slightly overshoot but its a very flat design and doesn't feel or look too big, and this is 53mm not including crown. Davey
I have to say I think PAM's look bloody stupid.. IMHO they are Ugly and unless you have BIG wrists you look like you might be a little retarded and need a "special" watch to tell the time I think they are just for the "larger" gentlemen to try and make him self look thinner, much like vertical stripes and baggy trousers.
