Stupid one million dollar question: how can you tel from these pics if it's fake? I have a gen sea dweller and tried to find differences but except the numeral of the date I can't find any...

So many things are off... Crown, Crown guard, fonts on the face, font on the date, bezel not sharp and insert doesn't fit and to me the hour hand looks wrong maybe too small. As was said in the first response a pretty bad fake. The first thing to do is go online look for pics of the same model and put the pics side by side on your screen. Study for 10 mins. If you do this enough soon you won't need the gen pics anymore.

No one ever opens up these watches and shows a pic of the movement which is where you can always easily tell.

Your friend tried to sell you that as a gen sub?

I hope not and I hope he didn't get scammed.

As for the tells on this watch... Where to start.

The rehaut (rolexrolex engravings) should line up with the markers.

The LEC (laser etched coronet) at 6 shouldn't be visible like that.

The cyclop seems to not do anything

The pearl on the bezel isn't centered and looks like a pimple.

The dial is for a LV. a black bezel sub should have smaller markers.

Spaces between oyster perpetual date is way too big. The words should be closer together.

The crown guards are waaaay too fat.

This is just from looking at the front of the watch. I'd hate to see how bad the second hand stutters.

That evo gentle posted is niiiice!

Always wanted one of those.
