dbane883 Posted August 20, 2014 Report Posted August 20, 2014 Browsed around local machinery supply store today.. Walked out with a bench grinder and a disc sander (yes, I paid for them).....
whoopy12 Posted August 20, 2014 Report Posted August 20, 2014 ...Just because? Or did you need em for a project?!
dbane883 Posted August 20, 2014 Author Report Posted August 20, 2014 I "needed" a new variable speed grinder. But the sander was an impulse. Thinking of trying to use it as a lapping machine using some 3M diamond lapping pads.

GenTLe Posted August 20, 2014 Report Posted August 20, 2014 Browsed around local machinery supply store today.. Walked out with a bench grinder and a disc sander (yes, I paid for them)..... Oh man, HOW MUCH I understand you... I went to the point that maybe I'm a tool-fetishist... Every time I enter in one of those places to get some bit/tap etc, I go home with 10x the expense I should have had...

martijnp Posted August 20, 2014 Report Posted August 20, 2014 That is the coolest nailgun I've seen..
jmb Posted August 20, 2014 Report Posted August 20, 2014 @dbane883 what's wrong with you? I personally don't see anything wrong with him, he seems pretty "normal" to me!! I need the disk/belt sander combo...
dbane883 Posted August 20, 2014 Author Report Posted August 20, 2014 I personally don't see anything wrong with him, he seems pretty "normal" to me!! I need the disk/belt sander combo... Ha. I looked at the combo as well, but I needed the deck on the sander to adjust to less than 90 degrees (at 0 the deck is perpendicular to the grinding fence) if you know what I mean. All the work feed decks on all the other sanders cannot go negative.. Only obtuse angles. The Delta was the only one with a rack/pinion deck adjustment that could go from -45 degrees to +45 degrees. Fact it was on sale and they threw in a free work stand was the tipping point.
fraggle42 Posted August 20, 2014 Report Posted August 20, 2014 Love that nail gun - had me going for a minute too as I looked at it and thought "where the hell does the nail clip go? That's the 18V battery... err..."
noodle_oh Posted August 25, 2014 Report Posted August 25, 2014 "Need" power tools?! Ohhhhh baby, you got that right! No such thing as too many, here's my newest, I can frame a wall at 100 yards. All I can think of is the line from Lethal Weapon "Nailed him!"
