dbane883
Please provide me with a compelling reason(s) why I shouldn't buy this. Because, in the absence of any, I know I will be buying this within a year. I think of all the modern Rolexes, this is bar none, the best offering they have. 508-Fanatic
James Cameron doesn't do what James Cameron does for James Cameron. James Cameron does what James Cameron does because James Cameron is James Cameron! James Cameron

dbane883
lugs are a bit thick.. but I guess thats what V2/3/4 are for. Is that the same case as the Noob SubC? For me, it will be gen all the way...
coffindodger
its ok but not in no way gen quality. its a BP not Noob version. I would wait for the next Noob version but then it will probably go up $150. The gen is £6,900 in the UK so out of my price range

droptopman
Lately I am only interested in vintage pieces, but of the modern Rolex's that is a good choice.

smoothunit
Finally pulled the pin and got my first ever rep from Andrew. While not a perfect rep by any strecth of the imagination I really love the look and fit.

If gen, go for it, you can always flip it for close to what you bought it for if you buy smartly. If rep, maybe wait for the "super rep" 116600 that is supposedly coming soon. In the meantime, just remove the cyclops on a rep 116610 and you are good to go.

mir36
Going gen too. Treated myself to a birth year 5513, and after a few months it just didn't click with me and I sold it. Treating myself to a gen SD 4000 for my bday this year Edited January 10, 2015 by mir36
mrbobdobalina
You mean like this... Sweet. I think that is my next watch. I think Rolex missed the boat a little with the SD4000. I think it would be better at 42mm with the 15+mm height. It would also make it a good intermediate step between the Sub and DSSD. Still an great watch at 40mm though.
