Ezio Posted July 4, 2016 Report Posted July 4, 2016 So guys been shopping around for a new vintage rolex and stumbled upon this Dial here where there were written Martini Racing on it just Like The famous Comex sub does Anyone have any history on it ? My search skills have failed me
dbane883 Posted July 4, 2016 Report Posted July 4, 2016 Is that MQ's 16800 dial? http://vintagewatchesmq.com/minhquy/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=678&category_id=87&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=1 I've never seen that dial in a sub anywhere. But doesn't mean it wasn't made for specific event.
Ezio Posted July 4, 2016 Author Report Posted July 4, 2016 Looks like The same pic only thing i have is The cropped Down version above fun to see The whole dial wonder how it Would fit in a superfranken 16800 if it had a a true place in The history somewhere could be Fun to have a alternative to The comex
Nanuq Posted July 4, 2016 Report Posted July 4, 2016 That's Marky's bike, a mechanic on the T3 team this year.

Nanuq Posted July 5, 2016 Report Posted July 5, 2016 He offered me to take it out and it was everything I had in me to say "no thank you". I couldn't risk bashing that thing on the screwy drive-on-the-wrong-side roads!
dieselpower Posted July 5, 2016 Report Posted July 5, 2016 Wrong side! Wrong side!! Check your history
Sogeha Posted July 5, 2016 Report Posted July 5, 2016 It said on my driving licence application form "tear along dotted line" and that's what I do unless I'm not in a hurry, then I drive on the shady side of the road. 1
Nanuq Posted July 5, 2016 Report Posted July 5, 2016 A Roman walks into a bar and orders a "martinus". The bartender says "don't you mean martini?" And the Roman replies... "my good sir, if I wanted two, I would have ordered them." 1
rolojack Posted July 6, 2016 Report Posted July 6, 2016 There were so many custom dials made... There isn't necessary a history. Only a client who ordered 10 of those to offer its team after the race. I have a 1665 with a ENCO logo (former name of ESSO in the USA)
