Sogeha Posted May 23, 2017 Report Posted May 23, 2017 Many of us are Rolex and James Bond aficionados and will be saddened to learn of the death of Roger Moore. Opinions are strong on who was the best Bond, but he did do a lot of good work. UNICEF Ambassador.. RIP
SSTEEL Posted May 23, 2017 Report Posted May 23, 2017 RIP Mr Bond, very find memories seeing him in the Bond films.
Sogeha Posted May 23, 2017 Author Report Posted May 23, 2017 No, genuinely posted at the same time, we will leave both threads or merge them
kernow Posted May 23, 2017 Report Posted May 23, 2017 RIP Sir Roger, he made some fantastic films - and not just Bond. Leave the two threads as he was more than Bond.
Sogeha Posted May 23, 2017 Author Report Posted May 23, 2017 I have every James Bond film, but I think I will watch "The Man Who Lived Twice" tonight instead.
SSTEEL Posted May 23, 2017 Report Posted May 23, 2017 I enjoyed watching Sir Roger Moore in The Saint.
HaydenM Posted May 23, 2017 Report Posted May 23, 2017 Very sad to see the death of a great man and one of the great Bonds. A loss for the world.
denimhead Posted May 23, 2017 Report Posted May 23, 2017 If you guys ever get the chance to read his autobiography 'my word is my bond' do so, its a scream and whats great is he genuinely didn't take himself remotely seriously at all. A great read, farewell Mr Bond 1
occb2 Posted May 23, 2017 Report Posted May 23, 2017 He was an amazing man. I have not read his autobiography but I have seen him interviewed and his personality and heart were beautiful! His charity work was amazing. A true man! I also hate to say it but I have to say that Sean Connery isn't too far behind. I saw a pic of him recently and they did not say good things. He refuses to go out in public. He and my dad are the two reasons I love Rolex Submariners.
Timelord Posted May 29, 2017 Report Posted May 29, 2017 He was one of my favourite British Leading men of the cinema. I truly loved his British accent being very distinctive -even different from that of the Royal Family. He and my late father also shared the same birthday and age. I just loved the 1960's series "The Saint" and really admired the way the Rolex submariner looked on him in the Bond movie "Live and Let Die". I was 8 when I first saw that movie on TV and always wanted a Rolex submariner. May he and Dad both rest in Peace with all those dearly departed loved ones that were once part of all our lives!!!!!
