By-Tor
Isn't it ridiculous that the rep factories make those vintage pieces that look like shit? After 20 years they haven't figured it out. They always install Submariner-like spiky little crown guards on a 1675 and 16750. And being innovative they release vintage Submariners that often have 1675-like thick and boxy cg's. They are fucking geniuses in China. Or blind... take your pick. I was browsing the Ebay and found this. Some nickel and dime "homage" brand can make a case that looks a bit like the real 1675. Look at the "boxy" crown guards. Maybe one day we get a 1675 rep that looks a bit like the actual 1675... but I'm not holding my breath for that. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Davosa-Vintage-Diver-GMT-Blue-and-Red-Pepsi-161-570-95-25011/272946481012?hash=item3f8ce0c774:g:GJMAAOSwUYNaEvx2
newswire
What’s the size of rehaute opening? Cause we can always swap out the dial for a Vietnam one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Wouldn’t that work out perfectly? Sogeha
Davosa are quite an old Swiss brand and make some nice watches. If I recall correctly the side view is rather flat like Steinharts and does not have the classic vintage Rolex lug dropSent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
SuperHero
Here’s mine. Originally I got the black because I got a big discount, then ordered the Pepsi and also a blue insert. Still cheaper than full price. When I got it, I added the an oyster bracelet and end links I had...perfect fit. Mid-case is spot on (thin) and the CGs are cool too. 120 click bezel (would prefer bi-direct) and thin. No cyclops, Tudor-style dial with aged lume (a bit too much IMO). Wear it all the time.... Nanuq
Wow they even got the up-curved CG profile right.Someone needs to buy one of these and see if they can shoehorn in an ETA modded GMT movement. They day we prove that works, the factories will suddenly be able to replicate this. Competition: it does the body good.

SuperHero
You need a more domed case back a-la original as it’s quite flat being a quartz. The ETA 2893-2 might be a bit thick....I have to say it wears really nice on the oyster and honestly, it’s ok for me that it’s not an auto. Plus its a homage, not a replica....none of them look right. That’s how this thread started, right?Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Nanuq
Hmmmmmm how about a manual wind with the rotor removed? Whatever it takes to mash an ETA in there!

mrsoundman
Very interesting... A quick google search suggests that this houses a Ronda 505.24h movement with these specs. Unfortunately, the movement size and stem height don't bode well for replacing with a mechanical GMT, for a novice like myself: Size (Ligne): 10½''' Stem Height: 1.50mm
SuperHero
The bracelet is marked 70216 at the end links are marked 455B. I also like this bracelet is that it’s generic and it has the shorter clasp like The original GMT. One thing to note about the Davosa Vintage Diver Is the incredibly Glossy dial and lack of text. The glossy dial is really difficult to photograph properly Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Very interesting... SuperHero
An auto should fit.A colleague of mine and I were in a meeting this week and I noticed his new watch...it had a blue dial and blueberry bezel. It had to be the Davosa!Nope. It was a Mathey-Tissot but...it wasn’t a GMT(?) However it had the bezel and same mid-case as the Davosa. M-T used the same dial but print circles versus squares, same mid case, similar crystal but with a cyclops...and it comes on a heavy version of an oyster (didn’t care for it myself...).It runs Sellita SW200 or a quartz. His had the auto with the exhibition caseback (it becomes thicker) and had a longer crown. It’s 649 CHF! https://www.matheytissot.com/b2b/gent-watches/942-rolly-vintage-automatic-40mm.htmlSo...an auto with a GMT function could possibly fit with the right caseback.Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

They look very smart. I like the idea of the 42mm in this style..... Should make the modern day crowd happier. I prefer the 40mm size myself. Sent from my SM-G930F using TapatalkIt seems silly to have a 24hr bezel without a GMT hand. Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkTrue. But it's still fit for purpose as long as the bezel can rotate; you can set the second time zone with the bezel alone.
