dadog13 Posted February 16, 2007 Report Posted February 16, 2007 Hi guys...I placed a payment to eddie...wanted to send him a PM and i found out the info "deleted member"...what is that? now i have to check on other rep forums for him... but mods, please tell me what happened?!!!
rsv123 Posted February 16, 2007 Report Posted February 16, 2007 Yeah, just noticed he's gone from the dealer section! Is this related to the PayPal problems?
dadog13 Posted February 16, 2007 Author Report Posted February 16, 2007 I jut payed him for a watch...and contacted him through TRC...well, hope this is only tech probl...and not any other form of issue!
Thor Posted February 16, 2007 Report Posted February 16, 2007 Expect you won't have any luck at the other forums too... Ediee asked us to delete his account, all post and so on. It has nothing to do with the site here... it's an personal decission towards the repgame... Maybe he'll return to the game but nobody knows actually - when we have some news (we're in contact with him) we'll post them in public to let you all know about - Ediee will also take care on open isues or orders so no need to worry...

rsv123 Posted February 16, 2007 Report Posted February 16, 2007 River is out? Yup, he is selling of the last of his stock now.
AMK000 Posted February 16, 2007 Report Posted February 16, 2007 River ....then EL ..... ???? what's going on here ???
Watchmeister Posted February 16, 2007 Report Posted February 16, 2007 It looks like the days of smaller part-time dealers may be coming rapidly coming to a close. I obviously hope that Eddie will come back. If River is really going away, Eddie is gone for the present and PT is no longer listing, rep collecting may well get more dificult. Kudos to all the dealers who are persevering. I suspect, but hope I am wrong, that this business will leave only the larger off-shore folks standing for whom it is a full-time living and the risks are worth it.
Jetsons Posted February 16, 2007 Report Posted February 16, 2007 This is very, very sad news. Not much to add except that EL & River will be very sorely missed.
dadog13 Posted February 16, 2007 Author Report Posted February 16, 2007 guys PM me Eddie's e-mail address...
By-Tor Posted February 16, 2007 Report Posted February 16, 2007 Very bad news. Eddie is a legend and definitely one of the best.
lovepanerai Posted February 16, 2007 Report Posted February 16, 2007 sad news indeed, Eddie and River were the ones that got me started back then - they will be missed
sailboat641 Posted February 16, 2007 Report Posted February 16, 2007 Dammit!!! EL was one of the best out there. I bought the majority of my watches through him and they are the cream of the crop.
ubiquitous Posted February 16, 2007 Report Posted February 16, 2007 EL was one of my favorites.... Man, I dunno what to say...

baltic Posted February 16, 2007 Report Posted February 16, 2007 Bought my first rep from Eddie, best wishes to him.
b16a2 Posted February 16, 2007 Report Posted February 16, 2007 Eddie will be sadly missed! Although I never bought form him, I am well aware of the great service he provided to this and other forums.
Defender110 Posted February 16, 2007 Report Posted February 16, 2007 gone from posting but not dissappeared.. if you r trsuted member here and have history of business transactions contact them. rep game is more difficult nowadays esp. if you are not china based. just look at the membership tallies from 2yrs ago to 1 yr ago to Today on the boards! lots of newbies pollluting the transactions with little or no collectiong experience and no business savy.. why do i say this.. well this hobby started out with Experienced Players in the field.. jewelers, watchsmiths, and true hobbiests.. so we knew what we were dealing with and could fix minor problems ourselves or source a fix or source a part or source a part and mod a fix.. with all the new ones with no exp in the field just looking for a "GOOD FAK*" to fool their buddies it has muddied many of the transactions and the small dealers cannot and should not deal with that.. and these fakers should go back to the scammer sites. just my .02$
geo1nah2a Posted February 16, 2007 Report Posted February 16, 2007 EL gone? The guy made his initials a mark of quality for us old timers.. Feels like losing touch with a friend. I am waiting for a good bye topic from eddie.. Maybe Thor can forward it to us? Even non trading, we want him back! C'mon! Say it isn't so!
iglutikut Posted February 16, 2007 Report Posted February 16, 2007 damn, I'll miss Eddie. love the fact he was always there for me when I needed something, even offering more then was necessary as far as his time was concerned. A class act and hopefully we will see him again.
section8 Posted February 16, 2007 Report Posted February 16, 2007 Very sad news, I too bought my first rep from eddie - great guy always responds quickly to email. I wish him all the best
