Rolexman Posted March 28, 2007 Report Posted March 28, 2007 (edited) $330 ex. shipping.... Produced in limited numbers (can be read on the home page)..... yeah right! No movement pictures..... Probably has an $2 Asian movement inside Despite my name I'm no Rolex fan nor expert so if this watch is anything like a MBW please forgive me my ignorance. -CLICK- Edited March 29, 2007 by TwoTone
piratedzeus Posted March 28, 2007 Report Posted March 28, 2007 Is this sarcasm or is this forum crazy
Guest TTK Posted March 28, 2007 Report Posted March 28, 2007 Not like an MBW.....1st problem is the HE valve....too big.....therefore it ain't perfect......that;s just BS....!
By-Tor Posted March 28, 2007 Report Posted March 28, 2007 Pearl is shite too. But perhaps it has been serviced with "Swiss imported lubricants"?
Jetsons Posted March 28, 2007 Report Posted March 28, 2007 Looks like a Sub case with a very thick case back plus the crown is too low. The TW Best was around $265 shipped last time I checked. Not sure what gives with the price on this one. Must be the very high nickel content used in this case.
ubiquitous Posted March 28, 2007 Report Posted March 28, 2007 16610 case, which is incorrect for a 16600- Crystal diameter on the SD is almost 1mm smaller, and the crystal is thicker as well. Couple of other flaws are present a well... All the usual ones... Someday, maybe the factories will realize the demand for a good 16600- One that's correct in dimensions and details. For now... The only SD worth getting (in my opinion) is the MBW 1665 vintage...
lionsandtigers Posted March 28, 2007 Report Posted March 28, 2007 looks like a tw sd actually jet wish i could get a good look at the bezel from the side though.......thickness and all
Tim Posted March 28, 2007 Report Posted March 28, 2007 I can't count the number of times I've asked this. Where do you get the TW Best and MBWs? Or do you just have to recognise them by sight? /Tim
Logan Posted March 28, 2007 Report Posted March 28, 2007 Looka like the same model I brought from River years ago.. same submariner case with extra thick case back. Nothing like the real deal anyway.

poopypants Posted March 28, 2007 Report Posted March 28, 2007 looks like CRAP to me! <-- use y'r Scottish voice!
woody Posted March 28, 2007 Report Posted March 28, 2007 why not just get paul's so called perfect sea dweller for $149? Paul said his movement is serviced....... this really has been a very strange past few days....
Stephane Posted March 28, 2007 Report Posted March 28, 2007 this really has been a very strange past few days.... indeed
jfreeman420 Posted March 28, 2007 Report Posted March 28, 2007 Looka like the same model I brought from River years ago.. same submariner case with extra thick case back. Nothing like the real deal anyway.I agree. The same case back sticker too only the HE valve has a smaller insert on mine and the ring around it is a bit thicker. is he havin a laugh? I really don't see what is funny in that clip. British humor I guess. With this one Trusty is laughin all the way to the bank.
Rolexman Posted March 28, 2007 Author Report Posted March 28, 2007 With this one Trusty is laughin all the way to the bank. True True... He ain't getting my money no more!
r11co Posted March 28, 2007 Report Posted March 28, 2007 He is either grabbing what he can before the ship sinks, or he thinks there is more to be gained from going down with it? Insult added to injury doesn't even come close....
2sweetau Posted March 28, 2007 Report Posted March 28, 2007 seems like the bar is rasied? maybe in anticipation of another replica class as copies of eta movements will be forced on to the market and original eta's reps will be now a costly upgrade.
HighDef Posted March 28, 2007 Report Posted March 28, 2007 Pearl is [censored] too. But perhaps it has been serviced with "Swiss imported lubricants"? This is the same watch that River was selling for $100 less. This watch has been serviced, but not the expensive Swiss type lube but the cheapy one below.
who Posted March 28, 2007 Report Posted March 28, 2007 330USD? in these day... it will be tough sale for sure
JWR Posted March 28, 2007 Report Posted March 28, 2007 'trusty' my [censored]. just sayin' what everybody is thinking.
Goochenbrau Posted March 29, 2007 Report Posted March 29, 2007 (edited) I really don't see what is funny in that clip. British humor I guess. If you watched the show Extras, you would get it. Its funny because its not funny. Edit: as a side note, I was about to sell a watch I got from Trusty, and now maybe I should hold on to it until the heat dies down haha Edited March 29, 2007 by Goochenbrau
