dluddy Posted July 23, 2007 Report Posted July 23, 2007 WOW RG. That looks insanely good. You are a patient man. I can only conject how difficult this must have been. Great work
Usil Posted July 23, 2007 Report Posted July 23, 2007 The work of a master. All I can say is WOW. Usil
chrgod Posted July 23, 2007 Report Posted July 23, 2007 Quite amazing... Those close-up shots really shows the quality of the work!
dluddy Posted July 23, 2007 Report Posted July 23, 2007 Now the owner needs to swap out the Day and Date wheels
P4GTR Posted July 23, 2007 Report Posted July 23, 2007 Your patience is something else we can all learn from.
gioarmani Posted July 23, 2007 Report Posted July 23, 2007 How the f*ck do you do that?! Almost looks machined!
KB Posted July 23, 2007 Report Posted July 23, 2007 No one but no one can come close to touching Ziggy on lume work, he is the master. Ken
dadog13 Posted July 23, 2007 Report Posted July 23, 2007 this really looks impressive...compliments...seeing it makes me wanna have it even more...but no spare $ fro reps for this month...and the order for the next month is already booked...
By-Tor Posted July 23, 2007 Report Posted July 23, 2007 Impressive. But actually I didn't except anything less. Whoever owns this particular watch... congrats!
RWG Technical Posted July 23, 2007 Author Report Posted July 23, 2007 Now the owner needs to swap out the Day and Date wheels Actually I did swap out the day and date wheels for the ETA ones, the movement is also a ETA 7750. I don't have any other wheels available, and was under the impression that the ETA ones were correct for this watch. Certainly I will never claim to be an expert in this area, and I think I did the exact same on kruzer's Cousteau, that is install the ETA wheels... Can you clairify this point? RG
RWG Technical Posted July 23, 2007 Author Report Posted July 23, 2007 How the f*ck do you do that?! Almost looks machined! You don't want to know, lets say there was more than one cup of tea consumed during the two lume applications, and the two varnish applications... very tedioius and hard on the eye (the loupe eye that is...).f @ all Thanks for the kind words, makes the effort worth while, and I am sure the owner will also be pleased with the results... RG

On second look they are the ETA datewheels. Fantastic job all around
k2222 Posted July 23, 2007 Report Posted July 23, 2007 This kind of work must be destructive for your eyes The Zigmeister I still can't belive it's possible. Great job!!!
section8 Posted July 23, 2007 Report Posted July 23, 2007 dear god that's amazing work, i'm most impressed at how you kept the squares...square!
RWG Technical Posted July 23, 2007 Author Report Posted July 23, 2007 Nope, my error. On second look they are the ETA datewheels. Fantastic job all around Whew, good stuff, I wasn't looking forward to having to take it all apart again... @k2222 Yes it is hard on the eyes, even with 10/20 vision I find it tiring after the first 30 minutes... RG
Jawo Posted July 24, 2007 Report Posted July 24, 2007 It's actually my watch and I can hardly wait to get it back. Rob certainly does amazing work and all I can say is that he is well worth the wait and price. Thanks a million Rob!!!
Sir-Lancelot Posted July 24, 2007 Report Posted July 24, 2007 That is so nice. Great job The Zigmeister. Jawo, you are a lucky man.
Watchmeister Posted July 24, 2007 Report Posted July 24, 2007 Actually I am luckier. I have been wearing mine since it arrived this morning.
gioarmani Posted July 24, 2007 Report Posted July 24, 2007 (edited) I figured out why "The Zigmeister" is so precise. I'm normally not one to post personal information, but I found Rob's picture on Google: Edited July 24, 2007 by gioarmani
