By-Tor
The gen is ugly, and the rep is bad. Don't bother. Edited August 27, 2007 by By-Tor
gioarmani
Some dealers have different versions of the 6 o'clock sub-dial, but are are misprinted either a 1-31 month/calendar or 1-24 day/calendar. The crown guards are also way off; ironic for a Rolex replica, these aren't thick enough. Neither one of these flaws allow this piece to be believable. Wait for the next generation to come out--probably within 6 months.

alt.watch.obsessive
I'm not particularly fond of either model, but at least the new version has (1) a complication and (2) a connection to yachting...not sure why the gen is so poorly received. Most of the new models strike me as far worse. Anyhow...agreed...not a great rep.
By-Tor
First Clown Master II is already for sale on Ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/Rolex-18K-YG-Yachtmast...1QQcmdZViewItem
docblackrock
...not sure why the gen is so poorly received.Because it looks like it has been designed by a blind octopus with a nasty case of the DTs, that's why.
docblackrock
but at least the new version has (1) a complication and (2) a connection to yachting......as has the Tag Heuer Calibre S which in either Aquaracer or Link outfit, is an infinitely more stylish and practical Regatta timepiece than this Rolex monstrosity. guanaco
Thats a horrible design, yet oddly attractive ! The guys over at Rolex must've been smoking peyote or similar either way ... Edited August 27, 2007 by guanaco
plaifender
U G L Y YOU AIN'T GOT NO ALIBI! YOU UGLY YEAH YEAH YOU UGLY! More than anything i think that what really make this watch the worst are the horrible bezel and blue red color combo on the face..
jfreeman420
That ebay auction is the first peek I have had up close to this new design. I like the new clasp. Not only does it have a flip lock, but the foldover is actually made of 2 pieces. It is spring loaded not just pressure clipped into place like the old oyster bracelets. This is following the lead of the Rolesor clasp on the more recent day dates. Another good innovation by Rolex. The dial is but ugly however. I hope the rep makers get a good rep of this clasp soon. It will probably be the standard on all Rolex models if it isn't already.
POTR
"Notes: This watch comes complete with all the box, manuals, certificate, etc. This is a new model that was just recently released by Rolex and extremely hard to find. Most dealers do not even have this watch in stock. There is currently a waiting list for this watch." TRANSLATION: "We got suckered into taking this monstrosity on trade with a formerly valued client, who unluckily had all the paperwork we were hoping he'd lost when we said we'd trade but only with everything. This is a new model that was just recently released by Rolex and extremely hard to stomach. Most AD's do not even have this watch in stock because they know they can't move it. We hope there is someone stupid enough, with a big enough bank account to take this white elephant off our hands, because we don't want to wait until it's a vintage collectible to get most of our money back out of it." z80
Well, at least Rolex must have cut production costs since the final point of assembly for this fine timepiece is the inside of a horse's anus.
CY0811
What a POS....they may as well bring out a 42mm or 44mm Rolex and break all molds instead of making a sh*t looking watch like this. Even though a 44mm Rolex would [censored] off the purists, it could not be as bad for the brand as this thing....well either way I would rock a 44mm Rolex son!!! rckh
The most ugly rep I have seen....Save your money & don't even think about it...I recommend u wait for the New 50th GMTII ceramic bezel. Best Regards, Raymond

With the big watches from Panerai and Breitling these days, the only type of rollie I would consider would be something in 44mm... the others just seem too small now. Not that I was ever a big fan of them to start with. On the topic at hand, although not exactly a good look for the YM 2, it is such a good 'functional' watch for its purpose.
